I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but this soil mixture is also reusable. Once your plants are harvested, shake the roots out best you can and re-amend the coco for the next round! The bits of root that get left behind simply decompose and add to the life of the mixture making it even better the next time, and the next time, and the next time.

Also, since this is my first run of this recipe, I've been mixing batches one coco brick at a time. Now that I have my garden established on a rotational basis (6 in flower and 12 in veg at all times), I won't be needing much new coco. Since I had no idea how much I would need, this was the best method. For those 18 plants, 6 in 3 gallon root pots and 12 in 1 gallon root pots, I used 5 bricks of coco. I just wanted to throw that out to anyone who wanted to know about volume for comparison purposes.

HEY EVERYBODY!!! LOOK WHAT I GOT IN MY LAST "HARVEST". This is the seedling of my own little seedling... My new granddaughter, born this morning. This tiny wonder only weighed 4 lbs and 15 oz, but everything is perfect and fully developed. She did not need an incubator and she goes home in the morning, happy and healthy.

In light of the fact that there is no update tonight on the last flowering plant in the flower room, I thought I'd replay a video which summarizes my very first grow, which was an ambitious project of 8 plants, 2 in hydro and 6 in soil, under a massive amount of CFL lights. It was a great experience and I learned a whole lot along the way. When the grow was over and harvested, I created this video to honor the experience.

Enjoy!

Thank you. I really enjoyed making it. I was a labor of love. I don't know if I'll ever do another quite like that, but then there is no harvest quite like your first, then, is there...

Thanks RW...funny that she came so swiftly on the heels of your new little one. As for the soil, some growers have been using the same original batch of coco for years, just readding the nutrients and adding more as necessary.

Okay, I know 4/20 is over... but I did take the following pictures on 4/20! So this is my girls at the moment. I was incredibly fried when I decided to do this, so the pictoral information is rather "random". I managed to not get a good picture of Miss Caroline at all! Oh well...

I'm not having a good pain day today, so I'm gonna go have brekky, then bake away my troubles. I'm feeling lazy so here's the summary of the pictures below:

1 and 2 are close up shots of my bagseed Emmylou at 5 weeks flower. Ain't she pretty?
3 is Agent Orange who recently declared herself female
4 is Bubblebomb, same as above
5 is a group shot of the "flowering four" - Strawberry Diesel, Caroline, Power Kush, and Emmylou
6 is the new girls - recently sexed - Beatrice in the back, SuzyQ in the middle, and Agent Orange in the front
7 is a group shot of the littlest ones - 2 Pablo Cheese in the back and Cheesequake and the previously mentioned Bubblebomb in the front - except for BB, sex undeclared
8 is my Strawberry Diesel, now 26" tall and beautiful
9 is one of her buds up close at 3 weeks flowering
10 is the Power Kush, also at 3 weeks. Her buds are absolutely snow white and covered in frost!

Looking really good Blue. Sorry I have not been around much. I been very very busy. The blog has taken off. I never imagined it would be doing this good this soon.

Hey, no sweat! Great that it is going so good. I have been a bit busy myself with the new addition and the expanded grow room. Glad you stopped by!
