I'm a bit of a deadhead, too much good stuff to pick, pretty much any live recording rocks me to my bones. I wish I'd seen Jerry live when I had the chance.

We'll miss you brother. :peace:

weir everywhere!
Brent is my fav keyboardist, Keith could tickle the ivories and Pig wailed the organ like he belted the blues.
Each had thier place for sure. Wasn't into Vince so much..

definitly they were at their best when keith was on keys but yet i like brent the best for sure. jerry just had it going on in the early-mid 70s. i was fortunate enough to have seen jerry many times but i was young and was there becouse of my folks. but they definitly turned me into a fan for life. the year jerry died was the year i was realy getting into them it was like a spiritual awakening. and yea i get to see rat dog a couple times a year. and phil once and awile have not seen further yet they just came by here but tickets were $180-500+ at a small venue. cool nice to see some heads on here. no band can come close i my opinion.

me too my parents took me to many venues on the northeast between 81-to the 90s boy i sure would like to have had my childhood back. they had the most hip friends ever to bad it wasnt untill i was older that i became a deadhead. i thought it was pretty natural to leave home for three months every summer and go on tour. man i wish i was going to all good sadly ive grown up a little and have to many responsibilities, but i do make some local fests and go to camp bisco (grimy) but the band blows my mind. i bought sirius radio just for the grateful dead channel its pretty cool they play 3 full shows a day and play alot of legion of mary and jerry garcia band. you guys dark star fans? they are a good band to see they bring back some of that vibe.

I'm a youngster... Born in '87. Bigger jerry fan than anyone I know. The recording of jerry garcia and john kahn at oregon state prison has the absolute BEST ruben and cherise on it... The run for the roses and jack-a-roe are phenomenal. If you don't have it yet I suggest a trip to archive.org

much love

74 disco biscuits shows and 37 phish shows under my belt... Not bad for 22 years old... I've put in some dues, but I would trade half of both those numbers to catch 3 nights of jerry band tour in the early-mid 80's

ive got 6 camp biscos under my belt. bisquits rock youve probly seen them more than me.i watch them every time they come to town usualy twice a year and go to bisco but other than that im getting old. it sucks to have responsibilities. and yea archive rocks to. ive seen phish more times than i can count ive got over 60 stubs and those are the ones that i didnt loose. after jerry died i did the phish thing for awile but in the end it just is not the same. id trade a year of my life to go back in time and hear them play morning dew.

I feel you man... Phish is more my generation... But I always love the oldschool stuff.

I was at camp 4, 5, 7, and 8. Which ones did you do before camp 4 the early ones were nuts from my understanding.

havent seen any further shows but when warren haynes played with the dead in 2004 they were great. rat dog is always nice especialy some corrina and no money for gasoline, and phil rocks. yea they are not the greatful dead anymore but i didnt care about that when i started the thread i wanted to hear from deadheads. nothing can compare to jerry.i just wanted to hear from fans. its the only band that does not get old.ive been listening since i was born and still have not tired of them. and doworkson there has never been a greatful dead without jerry. they have never played under the name grateful dead since jerry has passed.
