Hey i was just wondering how often i should use GW. Another thing i was wondering is should i use it when i add my nutrients or just with RO cal mag and ph. im growing in dirt and using GH nutrients. i appreciate any help. thanks in advance.

But, beyond that, one application is really all that's needed to inoculate the roots.

Everything else is the old "rinse and repeat" to get you to use it up and buy more.

Im pretty sure, Greatwhite is made by Plant success. not AN, however I have read that AN gets its myco from Plant Revolution Inc. the parent company to Plant-Success.

Yes it's expensive, but it lasts a very long time, when used in the manner suggested by Wet.
We will constantly be finding cheaper alternatives to plant food type products, but everyone has to start somewhere.

once your roots are inoculated you should be feeding the myco carbs, Like molasses or some other more expensive brand name product ;), and the colonies will perpetuate themselves.

I would suggest using it as directed on the container, but only for the first feeding or 2 of veg and first feeding or 2 of flower.

oh.. and KushMasterKev, I would apply GW, on your plain water days. from what I have read, strong chemical nutes will kill mycorrhiza, so if its an option for you to apply GW seperate from your feeding, thats probably better.

i was gonna say the same thing as asdfkry. great white is not advanced nutrients and the op said he was using general hydroponics.
 
I bought because i heard from numerous growers that it was pretty good stuff and they all had great results. i've just heard mixed things on when to use it everyone has there own opinion on it. lots of people tell me to use it up to the first few weeks of flowering then a select few tell me a couple times and when i transplant. i might just have to try both and see what i come up with, but thanks for all the advice i really appreciate it.
 
These micros are great if you tilled the earth a foot deep or dug a bunch of 4' holes in the ground and completely devastated the microorganisms and insects living in the soil. It allows what would normally take months to fix, to happen in a matter of weeks. There is also an ongoing fight happening in soil, between good and bad microorganisms. Applying these right after you till your soil allows you time to cultivate the species you really want to stay around and kick out most of the bad infectious ones.

In containers or hydroponic setups, these organisms can also help, but only if you continue to feed them an organic diet. If you just apply high nitrate fertilizers then your going to be killing the microbes faster than you can replenish them.
 
Their samples give plenty to try. ;) I like it but expensive. I use on clones and inoculate my soil bin.
 
I have a jar of great white that looks like a yellow-orange color. The expiration date isn't until 2013 but does that color mean its gone bad?

My mistake and I apologize.

The simple fact is though there are only a few 'outfits' that grow/produce myco's and it is sold in bulk and re labeled/re branded/re packaged, for wildly different prices.

I either use the Fungi Perfecti or BioAg products. Both are very reasonable as to cost and neither one is shy about who actually produces the products they sell if other than themselves.

I like to use it each time I transplant and every couple weeks or so I'll throw some in one of my batches of tea. Just make sure you've been feeding that soil nice and good so your little army of microbes has lots to feast on! :)

what would be a good carb to feed it, im using GH. should i just buy some molasses? I don't have a ppm meter thats why i dont know if I should put molasses in too.

I've had pretty good success using Hi-Brix Molasses for plants. Its nice and not as "gooey" as the grocery store stuff is, plus it has a slight bit of NPK to it if i'm not mistaken, very small, but its there.
