Green fluorescent lights

They arent as they look in the picture though, they are white bulbs on the outside that dont really grow green that much... but when I unplug two of the white bulbs I had in there previously and put in two of the "greens", You can see that they are actually a little bit green compared to the cool white bulbs i have in there. but the light it gives off everywhere like on the walls isnt that green. Im wondering if these are okay to use in the dark period without sending my babies into shock. thanks a lot for all the help.

I would not trust that light for dark room purposes.... I use the green party bulbs. The light needs to truly be perceived by your eye as green. not a bright green either.

Yeah a party bulb in a drop light is the way to go, the little fucker is bright, but very green. It's christmas time so every home depot has them.

You have 12 hrs of lights 'on'. You can't get whatever needs to be done, done in 12 hrs?

What happens when you lose a fan in the middle of the dark cycle and you don't have a green light to go in and fix it? I don't use mine often, but keep it just in case. Also great for searching out hermies.

What if you have an emergency and need to get them outside or moved? What if the light comes crashing down in the middle of the night? What if you wish to foliar feed before the lights come on for the day?

Use your noodle. There are plenty of potential reasons why someone might need to access their plants in the dark time.
