Green (mold? algae?) growing on super soil mix, what do?+pic

Mixed half a batch of the super soil recipe that's all over the place, looks like some moisture gathered at the bottom and some algae or mold has started to grow.

Should I dig this portion out? Or just mix it in?

Ive seen mention of mixing in various molds that grow on the soil, but nothing about algae growing at the base.

I assume it will die off when it dries out some more. It doesn't look like it can spread to the dryer top areas. There is still part of me that is concerned this might turn into a throbbing green mass and wreck the mix.

Any links to threads with information would be very welcome. I can't seem to find any info on this despite the numerous "super soil" related threads.

I just had the same thing happen to me. It was a seedling and the soil mix really held the moisture. My girls doing great, I just broke the surface up a bit and did some light mixing at the surface. I think your good . :peace:
