If you want to get rid of it, you have to water the whole top surface each time, auto feed can easily cause this if not set up to do so, with adding h2o2 or pool shock to your feed. I used 1ml per gallon with success with h2o2.
I would to prevent algae but also so it don’t grow out of control. I read they can effect plants. Up to you, just noting how to get rid of it. Harder to get rid of in advanced stages, better to start with the h202 in beginning.
You could scape a layer off for a head start and possibly cover it with more coco.
