Greenhouse growing

I'm a nooB grower here, but have been successfully gardening for most of my adult life, and was wondering if using my greenhouse was a good idea. I don't have to worry about nosey neighbors or passerby's as I live in a remote area. It seems most people have an indoor setup, but I was curious if anyone has done well with a greenhouse. All my non-MJ plants grow really well in there, but they get a lot of light (only 8hrs of darkness, not 12 as recommended for MJ). I'd like to keep the from getting too conspicuously tall in there. When they're more established and ready to flower, should I move them into my garage when it's time for their 12hrs. of darkness? I live in the south, is a garage with a fan still too hot? Bring them inside? I'm really excited to grow, and want this to go as well as possible. I've spent hours reading a lot of helpful forums here and can't decide what would be easiest, or most successful for a first timer. A friend gave me some seeds and I have 6 starters roughly 2.5 inches in height, and another 4 that are breaking the surface of their soil-- but I don't know the strains, and hope that they're all female(wishful thinking I'm sure). Any hints, tips, or advice is much appreciated. Thanks! :peace:

I don't know alot about green houses but it seems to me that most of the grow rooms indoors are small green houses. U can keep them from getting really tall with LST, in all of my reading that is 1 of the most interesting grow styles and I can not wait to try it. I know temp is important and the garage might be too hot right now but not so much when they are ready to move in there, depending how far south you are.

Hope this helps and wasn't too rambly LoL GOOD LUCK!
This forum is GREAT, I lurked on TONS of them before deciding on this one. Just ignore the occasional spats (they happen on all forums) and listen to the "pros" YOU'LL LEARN ALOT!

Thanks for the info Lady. I did some research on LST, and what an amazing technique! I have some bonsai's that I've had to train in a similar fashion, so maybe I'll have luck. This forum has been fantastic, and so far all the advice has been beneficial. Thanks again, cheers!

Hey bro, good luck on your first grow. If you want to control the plants height, there's a few techniques such as LST, Topping, Supercropping and FIM. FIM is a little different as it makes more branches as it stunts the growth a little, and you end up with 5 colas compared to 2 when you do topping. Just don't stress your plant out too much and give it a week or two to recover if you train it. Hope I was a help. Good luck on your first grow.

Thanks 420. I did some more research on FIM, and sounds like a great technique I'd be willing to use. I'm going to read up on the topping and supercropping as well. There are so many ways to go, I might just experiment with each of them over time! This is such an art-- I appreciate the help man. Thanks again, cheers!

This is my plan as well, I am going to keep 4 plants growing so the first is going to be 1/2 LST and half topping or Fim, I can't decide...
