Well I'm looking for my latest toy a worm bin or two. Eventually will only be using my worms and castings. My compost bin is coming along also should have enough to grow with next year for sure. Really liking the texture of the compost will be feeding it veggie scraps from the garden plants should like these mixes next year. Keepem green dirrtyd

Welcome to the Jungle!
I will have a jungle in a few months here. Stay for the show and enjoy. Well I got some praying mantis eggs going to put in the greenhouse when they hatch I will move them around the garden. My goal is to keep them happy till the end of the season. The dill is at 3ft now the fennel is just making about 6inches. If the fennel grows hopefully the two will keep ladybugs present in the garden. keepem green dirrtyd

Hello d-
I was working in the garden yesterday and found about 6 ladybugs on the monsters. Happy to see them their.
Question: how do you keep the praying mantises in the garden? Is that what the dill, and fennel is for? Again, clue me in brother....LOL I need to grow some beneficial plants in the garden too. What do you recommend? Garlic? Onions?
We need some updated pictures from the garden d, when do we get to see those?

TMB thanks for stopping by. Well the fennel and dill are to help keep the ladybugs in the garden. We will see how that works this year. The mantises I let my grandson catch and move them from plant to plant. I have seen that they generally stay if they have soemthing to eat. Will try and move them every two or three days this year. I grow garlic and onions just to try and mask the smell living in the city. I did read somewhere that they do help against certain insects. Grow you some lavendar I will be testing the tea I made this week. Also they say nettle is a good plant to have in your garden. Will get some pics of the garden up this week it is spread across the whole backyard the little I have. keepem green dirrtyd

What's up d-
No other info on the High Times gig, thought their would be more input. Learning the business side of things was interesting to me, still not sure if I'm going or not...
Your garden is looking nice, I'll be investigating the beneficial plant thing a bit more. I just ate a hand full of "sweet peas" just harvested out of my garden. Feels good to finally be rewarded with some vegetables after all the hard work. I have some squash that looks to be ready by weeks end.

I kinda figured you had veggies going. I know what you mean about the reward my grandson been harvesting strawberries the last two weeks. I still think you could find out the legal part with a little research. In your area seem like a delivery service would go crazy and explode. Just some rambling thoughts will post pics of the gurls here in a bit. keepem green dirrtyd

WOW, your girls are looking great! They really jumped! Nice work.
Well I did a little research here on the High Times MCC and check out this thread. https://www.rollitup.org/colorado-patients/421764-hightimes-medical-cup-2011-denver.html post #9
Either this guy is one hell of a salesman, or it's a happening event. I P.M.ed him, hoping to get a response back. Well see...
Me and the buddies are of to Chucancci Casino in Coarsegold to play in a Texas Hold'em event, I'll try and earn enough to pay my way to the High Times event the weekend of the 25th 26th. Wouldn't that be nice!....LOL

The three events I have went to really didnt impress me and the seeds I bought at them. Give me no better ratio than the seeds I made myself. Also alot of the guys who are in these books and things are really snobs. Just my two cents but again you are more than welcome to park here. TMB yes the gurls are doing there thing gave them a veg juice today to try and jump start there growth more. Hopefully at tthe end of the month they will be impressive. I still have a few more pics to put up. I hope you do well at the tournament. keepem green dirrtyd

Looking good man. Nice to see the sun shining down on the ladies. :)
I will post some more pics later today for sure. The GC is going crazy in the greenhouse everyday I look in there it looks bigger. In two weeks it has grown past two levels in the tomato cage. it has about 12 inches to go before I can't see the cage anymore. keepem green dirrtyd
