greetings from ky!...a new member in search of some advice on an idea.

Hi everybody im new to the site, coming in from eastern ky,and I was just wondering would it be possible to build like a small grow box just out of old screens that have come out of sliding doors and windows and the plants still get an adequate amount of sunlight through them? to me,if so,it would be good to keep insects out such as grasshoppers and shit and make heli's harder to spot them..any thoughts or suggestions?also with the climate here not being so tropical what strains from nirvana would be sufficient for the mountains and humidity here in summer, and at max would be finished flowering by the first week of October?thanks in advance for any replies

Herijuana from Sannies seeds supposedly has a kentucky outdoor strain in its genetic make up. The plant is very stable and finishes reliably in 7 or 8 weeks depending on pheno. the buds are rock hard and pretty easy to trim. The yeild isnt the largest, but you could make up for it with plant numbers. Its a powerful indica with an earthy flavour.

Indoors, Ive seen it have problems with powdery mildew. I havent grown it outdoors but I'd like to. I just dont have access to it anymore.

I've grown it twice, there is a second(and rarer)phenotype that yields higher and has more of a fruit flavor as opposed to coffee.

It's perfect for eastern KY in-grounds as well, but I prefer sativa...and the state of Kentucky used to crank out a ton of top shelf skunk. A lot of the old industrial hemp farmers and alcohol producers were marijuana pioneers 80 years ago after the government cracked down on illegal stills and banned hemp farming...which is where the term green lighting originated in the 1930's and 40's.
