after doing a little research i have found that my county does a infared scan from a helicopter on the entire county every square inch of it. how many plants in one grow area will show up on infared? if i plant say 200 plants in a row 5 ft apart will it show up? anyone know what the best layout would be to have a good crop but yet stay undetected?


also i want to keep the visits to a minimum so was kinda thinking this would be the only vistis i would have to make

1.scope out area
2.prepare ground and plant
3.get rid of males
4. top the plants out
5 harvest and dry
6.pick up dryed product

6 trips in 13 weeks would not be be bad i dont think

Well I am not really sure what they check for on infrared, but I would believe that 200 plants would most likely get noticed. Why not do say 50 plants in 4 areas or 100 in 2 areas??? This was my plan for this spring. At least you know if one crop got destroyed, you still have another. You want to make the least amount of trips you can as to not arouse suspicion. And if you are seen by someone and they are asking what you are doing just say you're hiking, bird watching, walking your dog (bring your dog lol), or something along those lines. well i was going to do numerous crops actually i live out in the middle of no where plenty of land so maybe 10 plant bundles scattered over a 1000 acres or so ..........the strip of plants 200 plants long would be ideal for one area i have its along a large power line cut through but im thinking the small bundles scattered all over would be better


as far as the trips out there is there any way i can limit it even further than the ones i have listed above?

and how well will purple haze grow with little care

ive seen those heat scanners pick up on as few as 20 plants. dont keep your plants close together i hear this is the big set off.

those cameras don't detect heat, they detect the wavelengths of light that the plants don't absorb, or the distinct color of the plant as we would see it, but the cameras use infared light to make the differences between plant species more easily apparent. i have never had to deal with law enforcment looking for my plants but i would suggest you spread them out in very small groups, if the dea is really that crazy where you live. i have seen footage of heli's ripping ten plant crops in hawaii with those cameras, but i doubt they would notice 1-3 or even bother to pull them out if they did.you gotta also think that most of the plants life it will be reletively small, and wont arrouse as much suspision till the last month or two when they are at there largest.

all this heat scan shit is obsurd they are not going to be looking in any specific area unless the have a reason to do so, the budgets are so tight that they cannot afford to randomly fly a helo around all day looking for one or two pot plants! of course you should not plant more than one or two together but not because of any helo or heat scan but because of thieves

delta9, that is my general opinion about law enforcement too, however there are places with high growing rates where they do have more funding for that crap, but even then, they are swamped with grow ops and don't bother with smaller ones.

i agree,, its like i always say when that helo takes off 95 percent of the time the have a tip from some bigmouth then they say look what the helo found ya know

well unfortunately i live in a place that is very country with this being said it is also ranked like 3rd in the nations production or so i hear they do actually cover every square inch which comes from my sis (works for the crime lab-(in addition just a tidbit of info dont touch your bags with bare hands she spent like 3 wks finger printing bags of green and white-baby oil and baby powder will make your bags finger print resistant which is commonly known throughout the white community)

im thinking im going to put 5 plantbundles in like 30 ft squares 1 plant in all 4 corners and 1 in the center each plant would be 30 feet from the next

i guess ill start wearin mittens whenever i handle a bag of pot ! dude i know what it takes to fingerprint shit and they aint gonna do it for no dime bag of pot anyway it dont prove shit!!!!

i always take my dog when i go to my grow site. we have surveillence planes flying everyday, but where my plants are they arnt going to suspect anything. i hope...

your right they do not fingerprint small amounts she was printing large quantities

i have a further question and response.
1. it doesnt matter if they have inferred. all they need is a helicopter and they will spot 200 plants in rows pretty fuckin fast i think.
2. is the inferred for detecting marijuana outside or is it for detecting extremely hot air being vented from homes?

o. also. just a thought. i could be wrong but...
ur plants could die from drought. i dunno. slugs are a killer. rabbits are deadly as anything. thrips and aphids are bad. parasitic vines kill. powdery mildew or other fungi and diseases could strike. you should check on it alot. maybe set little fishing line trip wires so u can tell if anyone has been there.(not with a booby trap on the end)

infra red , is for seeing at night you have to have 1. infra red light 2. ifra red goggles thats how it works . if anyone tells you that cops use infra red to find plants thier full of shit as for the thermal imaging , i for the life of me cant believe that a pot plant would be any warmer than the ambiant temperature thus "thermal imaging" would not work .and as for the one guy thats worried about it sounds like hes been watching too much c.s.i.

I was kinda wondering how using an IR cam could detect plants, surely you're not growing in a desert, so there'll be plenty of other green plants around. Companion planting might help you feel safer - makes it harder to spot them too. If you're brave maybe use stinging nettles, they look kinda similar, grow easily, and will deter pests - never done this, it's just a thought
