Awesome thread. My 20 dollar small grinder sucks, it's dull and I'm tired of cleaning it every couple of days. So I guess it's either Brilliant Cut Grinders or Santa Cruz Grinders. Thanks Rollitup.

I'm tempted to get one even though I don't usually use them. It just looks sweet.

I just watched a youtube video of a chick using one, and she had to do the fast forward move to speed up the video because it took like 400 turns. I could hear metal on metal grinding.

So I looked at the reviews, and yep. You can tell that this guy is not happy with it, but also justifying the $175 that he spend on the thing.

Overall I love this grinder - the feel of it and weight are superb, it is very tactile - The messages are great and the grinder feels like it has personality. As others have said it is like a piece of art & these are all positives as well as the way the grinder has been made & the materials used. I hate to mention any negs but it has to beRead more about Overall I love this grinder - the feel
balanced - the grind is very fine but not life ending - you can not get a lot of product inside it as the teeth are so close together and it has to be broken down to very small pieces - if you put to much in, it is hard to grind and you end up keep catching the bottom section - if you smoke pure ones you can only just get enough in it for a fat smoke and if you overload, you get already mentioned issues - the screen does not really work in practise as it is not stable and it has a small hole to lift it up which lets the kief become 'contaminated'. I have taken screen out completely and this works better. Lastly I prefer to have like a flat o-ring type thing to stop the metal on metal rub between the grinding section and you do not have one on this grinder - I have cut my own out of a butter lid and it works fine but worth mentioning. To take of bottom section it is easier to twist it a little to un-catch magnets and pull open and do the same when closing. As I say I love the grinder, I only have a few issues and in my opinion no grinder is perfect for everyone's needs but this grinder ticks the boxes for me in being made of stainless steel, having no coatings and being a top quality made product. Great service and shipping to the UK - I will own this grinder for as long as I am alive ;-) Thanks."

This is the grinder that you may buy with your wife's hard earned money?

What do you guys think about the new ones with blades? Do the blades stop working when it gets full with resin?

They should never really touch. While “bladed” to ease the physical force needed to process material, mill grinders work on a principle of set/adjustable tight tolerances. Everything from coffee to rocks to buds

I got mine for $140 preorder but I had to wait 6 months because the magnets were backordered. Still expensive, but not as hurtful as $175. Yea, it comes with a removable reducer that gives you a VERY fine grind. I removed it as it took forever to grind shit up with, and you can't grind it with it packed full with the reducer in, like he said. Not sure about the kief hole, havent experienced that. Here's a pic of the reducer. Comes right off with the included hex key. Overall I'm happy with it. I wanted something held together with magnets primarily, and something made of stainless steel secondary. This one fit both categories. The other ones I was looking at was the QUBUS, Herb Ripper, and the HOJ.
