This is interesting, I started some shortriders 2-3 weeks after you. Mine are grown aero and don't look anything like that at all. The tallest one is about 15 inches, the short one is about 6. It wasn't deep enough and fell over so I sort of cloned it in rockwool in an aerogarden. The middle one got a late start after one of the seeds failed to germ. They all live in an 18 gallon aerotub now. I'll be watching.

Sorry these are not the shortriders these are the free seeds I got from nirvana when I ordered my shortriders(they had an acid accident) and these have LST training. Anyway I have great news, my biggest plant is female! And two of the others look like girls but not positive yet. Really excited cause the big one will have alot of tops. I want to cut the fan leaves but everyone says not to. Also big ups to Stinkbudd1, Tom_420, and ScwaScwa for all their help so far.(PICS COMING TOMORROW)

Pics People. Tell me what you think.

looks gr8
keep those lights close a double them up when its time to flower
cfl's will work better if held sideways
also work on getting some co2 enrichment

yeah Friday I'm going to put 8 2700k cfls in. I already have CO2 (sugar & yeast) I put one 2liter with a tube for every plant. I think I see some signs of spider mites so I started treating them with a Neem Oil base Pesticide. I think that 3 will be female because the calyx is not raised on a small short stem.

Right now I just got 4 growing I veged them for about 30 days. They have been flowering for about a 9 days now. I started 4 plants and right now 3 are female (female pre flowers) I hope no hermies. I dont know what stain they are (Nirvana Free Seeds) they told me that they are random and its a surprise, but thats kinda stupid but now I will never now what strain I doubt that anybody (I have contact with) is Marijuanatastic enough to just tell what they are from bud pics.

OMG the craziest shit ever happened yesterday morning. I was up at 6am cause I had to work at 7. My roommate went to work a 1am. When he left he didnt close the door all the way and it came back up(from 1am -6am) I wake up and I check my phone then I hear (Mar***** POLICE DEPARTMENT) They were in my house about 4 feet from my grow box. I rush out thinking they were there for my plants. Next door they saw the door wide open and call them. I showed them my I.D. and explained what happened, and they left. I was fucking shuck. (Good thing it was dark time with no loud fan on)

Anyway I thought I had 3 females out of 4 seeds planted but I was wrong its 4 females out of 4, Oh yeah baby. Also I was seeing signs of nute defis so I add some fert and Epsom for Mg They are getting so big. I also added more lights.

this is what i think it is the fact that you r growing under cfl's means nothing
Potassium (K) Toxicity:
Usually not absorbed excessively by plants. Excess potassium can aggravate the uptake of magnesium, manganese, zinc and iron and effect the availability of calcium.

Magnesium (Mg)
Magnesium is a component of the chlorophyll molecule and serves as a cofactor in most enzymes.
Magnesium (Mg) deficiency:
Magnesium deficiency will exhibit a yellowing (which may turn brown) and interveinal chlorosis beginning in the older leaves. The older leaves will be the first to develop interveinal chlorosis. Starting at leaf margin or tip and progressing inward between the veins. Notice how the veins remain somewhat green though as can be seen in figure 15.
Notice how in figure 16 and 17 the leaves curl upwards like they're praying? They're praying for Mg! The tips may also twist.
This can be quickly resolved by watering with 1 tablespoon Epsom salts/gallon of water. Until you can correct nutrient lockout, try foliar feeding. That way the plants get all the nitrogen and Mg they need. The plants can be foliar feed at ½ teaspoon/quart of Epsom salts (first powdered and dissolved in some hot water). When mixing up soil, use 2 teaspoon dolomite lime per gallon of soil.
If the starting water is above 200 ppm, that is pretty hard water, that will lock out mg with all of the calcium in the water. Either add a 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of epsom salts or lime (both will effectively reduce the lockout or invest into a reverse osmosis water filter.
Mg can get locked-up by too much Ca, Cl or ammonium nitrogen. Don't overdo Mg or you'll lock up other nutrients.

Today when I checked the room I saw that all my plants have pistils on them I am getting more and more excited but I am afraid of hermies I dont really know what to look for. Also I was wondering on the main cola does the bud develop out of the top or the bottom of the top growth. what I mean is if my main top is 2 feet tall will the cola develop and make it inches taller or will it develop out of the bottom of the top and keep the height the same.
