Grow area

I would give yourself at least 3x2, the reason being that I went 2x2 and have to order a specific cooltube just so it would fit, and that only works diagonally. I could fit 2 plants in my 2x2, but the way I did training in my grow I am crunched for space with just one. I am going to 2x4 for my next grow to give me more room for plants and equipment (having a hard time with fan placement).

Here is a 2x2 with one plant in a 3 gallon pot:

As you can see, its pretty cramped and proper airflow is challenging.
btw what is the thing directly above the plants? and are the white pipes just holding it up? is that big as thing a cooling tube?

The green grate is a tomato cage for the scrog, it is in an attempt to keep the canopy organized. The white bar is actually just a curtain rod I had used for positioning a fan and have a few buds that are tied to it since they are getting to heavy for the stems to hold them up.

And yes, cooltube and 6" ducting connecting my carbon filter to the fan that is pulling hot air from the top and venting it into my garage. It really only spells when I open the door and lose the negative pressure, I have some Ona gel to help when I open the door but it is really fighting a loosing battle :) She is a smelly one right now. Heat is still a concern though, I gain about 10F from ambient and this is my office built in the garage. Not sure if I can maintain temps for my next grow over the next couple months without firing up the AC, but I have a portable one that sits a couple feet from the intake if I need to.

I will let you know when I harvest at the end of this week since this is my first real grow of cannabis. Lots of reading but the info is there for anyone to try it.

sounds good ma. any tips on what i should read up on?
For me, I wanted to read everything. It is figuring out what to ignore that is tricky. Try to stay with information that can not be validated in general botany. Anything that only applies to MJ should be discarded for the most part. Cannabis is just not THAT unique.
