not sure i can afford 300-500 1.5 foot bags of soil, ya i had some like that, the plastic was only 3 mil thickness, i think 5 or 6 mil would be good

like 130 bucks for 200, but theyre only 3mil. ialso found like heavy duty polyplastic bags (6 mil) from a moving supply store, but theyre clear, which would probably fuck up the roots, and they have no holes in them (not a huge deal, id just get a pipe or something, stick it in furnace, and use that to melt holes through stacks of them at a time)

why not grow bigger plants like everyone else?
300 plants = pound me in the ass prison....
you thought that out well?
you could get the same(or better) yield doing 30 plants in 100 gallon bags...
good luck peacenik...

for 1 thing, 15 spots with 20 in each, so i can only be in one place at one time. for another, lots of sick people with lots of different sicknesses and preferences, 30 plants can only be 30strains. anyways yes, i have thought it out well, and thanks for the luck, ill pretend it was genuine rather than sarcastic, take care!

if your going to us fertlizer and not organics. i used bails of straw last yr. i put them 2 inchs in the soil and mound the dirt i dug out back around it to keep some moisture in it. just take a saw cut a hole and put ur plant in. i found mine cheap 2 bucks a bail no dirt no bags good for a yr

cool, but can u explain like if plants are going out from 5 gal pots, you just put them right in the straw? so its like a barrier? dunno if itll work cause spots are damp, to minimize watering

Instead of bags build raised beds or grow in rows. However if you need bags, you can double up on paper bags or use reusable grocery bags. Discount Hydro also sells cheap plastic bags in bulk for a reasonable price. Personally though I say raised beds or in the ground

the thing is spots are a little marshy, just enough for bags to sit in and not require watering, like mucky, but too mucky to put them right in the ground

Then I'd amend the soil and use poles for support. Is this your first year growing? idk I grow on my own property so my ideas are more conventional

no about tenth year, but only 5 seasons with large numbers. ive always gone right in the ground, till last year, idid most in ground and couple dozen in bags. i dig my holes the fall or spring before. last year i dug over 500 holes, amended 250 of them, not knowing how many id actually need, covered with leaves and crap and marked with dead branches till plants were ready to go out. i pick the spots with a number of things in mind, one of which is the moisture in the soil. so after digging and preparing 500 holes, summer comes and we get a drought, which by mid july, made the soil like dust. anyways i stilll used the holes cause im only 1 person with 1 shovel and there was no time to redo, except for the ones that were really terribly dry, i threw in 10 gal bags and put them in some spots that are normally swamp, but it was so dry, they were just muddy. and those plants ended up doing pretty well. i had 2 agent oranges by tga in bags, and easily got over a pound off each, plus hauling water is NOT practical for me, i use time release ferts, and the ones in bags never needed a drop, they wicked up the perfect amount of moisture from the muck, but the ones in the ground, which have never needed watering any other year, required several emergency water trips. so, i was impressed with the growth in the bags, i didnt have to haul water, and i came across alot of damp places when trying to find spots for those 2 dozen bags

nah its cool, i take no offense, i get it. theres always some kid wanting to grow a thousand plants altogether in an open field, without the slightest idea of the work, risk, or knowledge involved, im just not that kid.
