Grow dresser filters?

I am looking for a 4 drawer dresser to start my first stealth grow in my closet, smell is a problem and i wanted to ask something about my carbon filter, i am gonna buy a 75 cfm computer fan for intake, and a inline fan for outtake, loudness is a problem too, so would i need a carbon filter on the intake also? like will the smell get through the intake cause of the cfm being 75? Thanks. :leaf:

your exhaust fan will suck air into the box through the passive intake, which is simply an intake hole w/o a fan. if possible it should be larger than the exhaust size..

Okay thanks for the info man, so i guess i don't need another PC fan :D i'll make a new topic asking about the hole size once i get the dresser.

ozone is better than carbon filters, after you have 50% humidity carbon stops working, get a 6in inline, 4 just isnt enough. what size light are you using?

6 CFL bulbs, and will a 6in inline fan be loud?

Also where can i find this ozone stuff? is it just something i can replace carbon with?

i disagree. lots of cfls in a small area can get hot quick. I have more trouble w/ heat trying to do larger cfl grows than i do with my hps setup. I'd increase the number of bulbs to 10 or 12 if possible, even if it would mean going with a bit smaller watt cfl. if you want a good dense cfl yeild you need to bathe the whole plant in light and try to surround the plant on all sides. cfls can do good and grow nice dense nugs, but you have to keep them as close as possible and like i said make sure the whole plant is bathed in light.

I'm gonna be growing 2-3 plants depending on the germination, and the main plant is going to be the bushiest strog i can get :D, but if you think i need a 6in and 12 CFL's then i'll go out and get some, but i just figured out a inline fan will be way to loud for my stealth grow, i need something quite i can get at a local store or something.

Im currently growing in a 5 drawer dresser! I have 1 exhaust fan coming out the top left side using a 6in duct fan, then 6in flex running to my carbon filter.(no smell at all) Also i have a 120mm fan blowing in the bottom, it really doesnt help like the 6in duct fan but it being air tight i needed an intake area! It works really well with no smell and i can control my temp just by controlling the speed of my 6in duct fan. Happy Growing

ignore that, i use CFLS and if i had any less than a 6in it wouldnt do the job. My temp in my room is all based on house temp, my grow room stays 8 degrees warmer than the house with the fan on. So say my house gets 75 degrees inside, youre looking at trouble!!

dude, i use 2 4in to cool 2000 watts hid... a 6 for the noise and the size of the dresser and all in all it just seems a bit much, but if you go with the 6 you can one day upgrade to anything really.

depends on who your hiding it from. if your hiding it from a land lord or neighbors or other occupants of the house. Its always a STUPID IDEA if your living with people, ie roommates, parents, what not and they do not know what your doing. so if your trying to hide from parents or roommates you might want to re-consider. if its a landlord you just turn it off when they are there, if its neighbors you have to just exhaust out of a window box with a couple of foam baffles. very easy to construct.

Get a Dimmer Switch so u can control the speed like i did! When you turn that thing half down, the sounds almost nonexistant and once u put duct work for the exhaust fan and put a filter on the end (or run it outside/underhouse) the sound cuts down alot!!! The reason im using a 6in exhaust fan is cuz i have no cool air coming in just room air so i need to expell hot air quick!

Also yea i agree with Mali, if ur hiding this from parents or a room mate prob not a good idea! I made mine stealth just for the fact if Mother-in-law comes in or anyone really its not that noticeable, i usually just turn my fan down when someone is coming over or i hear a knock on the door, if not it can kinda sound like a Fridge :p hahaha
