9/3 Morning Update
Goooood Morning everyone,
So last night didn't get home in time for lights on to take some pics and had to wait till this morning. Well this next line or two is sorta directed to Dr.Chronic, but it wouldn't hurt others to read.. So I know lately theres been all the talk about short plants and CFL's and yabba yabba yabba, well as we know raising the lights a bit helps out stretch.. But I'm going to make a suggestion for you Doc. Switch to 12/12 sooner than later bro. I realized you want a tall plant to then make even taller and thus have a decent yield from. I'm on about day 4 of flower and my plants shot up almost3 inches.. not tonnes but far more than earlier. Just keep it in mind everyone, flowering does help growth other than just buds for the first week or two.. Ok so as I was saying HK looks amazing, growing up and well out even faster about 2 - 3 leaf sets are already growing over the sides of the pot, finally starting to get some "serious" growth !! I already have 2 "sites" scouted and picked for when I make my clone attempts. The couple sets of large leaves are really starting to go outwards !! TH isn't exactly the same, well I mean shes growing up a bit at a time and same with out. Not as noticeable as HK (Could be Nute Diff Showing) Or it could just be the fact that its a Hybrid plant... That I couldn't tell yas !!

Heres a pic of what I spent a good 30 - 45 min doing last night watching tv before bed...Its the start out my new outter chamber for another filter..

Looking good man, im probably gunna switch to 12/12 sunday. Last nite i switched from 24/0 to 18/6 and i got some SERIOUS vertical growth. It may not be significant compared to other's but considering it hasnt grown vertically much at all so far i was suprised to see at least an inch vertical growth. Keep up the good work man we are gunna have some pretty ladies soon.

kudos FT, I am really impressed with those plants. They look so happy and healthy, and mary jane looks so pretty under that orange/yellow flowering light does it not? I am going to start flowering here in the next couple of days as well. Must say I'm pretty worried about vertical growth. I think I may have to cut circular holes in the bottom of the box and let the bottom of the pots stick out and sit on the ground and have something holding up the box by the corners. I am already close to the top with my lights... scary. You've got some good vertical space though, can't wait to see what you come up with.

Dankness: Thanks very much for the kind words, I really appreciate it.. good to have you back around here as well !! Flowering Vertical growth is definatly something to take into account early early on in your plans before the grow as it can and will surprise ya and get outta hand. I really like that idea though of cutting a hole in the bottom to allow the pots to hang down.. I wish I could do that however it would involve oh I dunno cutting a hole in my floor, lol.. There is always LST and Topping/FIM'n to each their own !! Good luck in flowering !!

As for a evening update heres what happened tonight.. I got home from work tonight before what should have been lights out..However as I got to my room the light wasn't on.. first I was freaking out, but then I realized that the light seemed to be on earlier than normal this morning as well. So my plants still got 12 hrs of light/dark just an hr earlier than normal, not a big deal. Further inspection and thought made me realize the timers on the power bars were getting knocked around and changing.
Solution - 2 screws in the "wall" and powerbar hung vertically.
Before my little change up I had a timer on each power bar. Now as you can see i have both timers on that one bar and they are set for Bottom (4 bulbs 12/12) and Top (42W set for 1.5hr 3 times a day; the reason for this is that it just causes a few degree temp spike so on and off lets my fan cool things off well. I made the other powerbar for fans only so as to keep everything all neat and tidy now, I should have done it along time ago but what can ya do
Now my lights will be perfect as I wanted them.
Can't wait to see the new growth in the morning, I took a peak with the green light and well the vert is good but the bushyness at the base now.. well its taking off to say the least.

cgm: Thanks very much, yeah man once you hit flowering things move like nobody's business. lol, tell me about it, I feel like I was begging for seeds like last weekend not over a month ago !! I'm glad I went ahead and did this little grow, I'm getting so sick of paying an extra 10 for "better" stuff thats in all likelyhood coming out the same bag as the "lesser" stuff.. Just frustrated with buying. Good luck in you harvest and rest of flowetring bud !! We'll talk about vapour !

9/04 Morning Update
Good Morning everyone,
Today is a great day, my plants are starting to go from "bushes" to "trees" lol. You'll see what I mean from the pictures today. Still no real signs of any sex, which I'm taking as a good thing (longer = female theory) I also went ahead and counted nodes on HK as I'm curious, shes not just over 6 nodes and growing very quickly..HK shot up atleast another inch or two in the past day or two and things are going amazingly well. I had to raise the lights yet again today as the leaves are already starting to hit them. Fantastic new growth, in my pics today I took my usual Top shot, Side shot, and then I'm using a different pencil instead of a sharpie for height shots now. You'll notice 2 lines on the pencil, those are 2 previous markings for HK's height.. notice the progress from the last line...TH is in the EXACT same boat, I'm so very proud of my plants. The main difference however is HK is much bushier than TH, but I do n't really mind. If TH takes an extra week or two, so be it !
Anyway on to the pics (by the way I took macro shots of the nodes to check for sex signs if anyone is interested I can post them after)

So thats that.. As you can see they have jumped up in height almost Double already in days of flowering...I hope your reading this Dr.Chronic, to help settle the mind a bit buddy, it'll all work out !!!

Quick little thing before i head to work...something I found at work yesterday that can be purchased and any hardware store...
This is for anyone who doesn't have a powerbar INSIDE their box and has a sealed box and wants a easier way to plug things in... Its a single plug splitter into 3, the beauty of this one is the shape. It sorta curls so you could literally cut a small hole in your box, fix this inside... you'd be able to plug it in on the outside of your box and then on the inside you have access to a sealed (hopefully) 3 plug line. Heres 2 pics to give you an idea what i'm talking about...
[Imagine the wall of your box 1/2 way in the middle of the splitter]
I plan to use his on my dresser box instead of having wires all over the place I'll take more pictures when its installed and sealed up in a little while.
