The grow light reflectors I see have a strange cord? I want a grow light or adapter that will plug into a wal like a normal cord? What's this called or where can I find it cheap

You mean the ballast cord? If you dont want that, you can cut your yields down 75% and go with a CFL in your hood. They don't require a ballast and can plug in the 120 wall outlet. Otherwise, HID lighting requires one....with a cord.

Good luck have fun

Remember that your reflector needs a ballast to power the bulb. The strange plug coming from the reflector is intended to plug into a ballast to regulate the amount of power. You will not be able to find an adapter to plug your reflector directly into the wall. It just doesn't work like that.

Every light setup requires: A Bulb, a Reflector, and a Ballast (the ballast is your power source).

Does anyone know what the name of the plug used to connect the ballast to the reflector? or even better, where (or if) I can but the female end of that connector. I have an old ballast (that doesnt have the plug) and I want to add the female plug to it so I can easily switch between ballasts on one hood.

Take your ballast to an electrical supply. If they don't have one maybe they can supply you with a male and female that will work.Good luck !
