Grow Light Temps?

He guys. I'm concerned about heat. I can't find ANYWHERE the kind of heat they give off. My space will be roughly 3 x 3 x 6. I just wanna know what kind of heat they may produce in that area. It'd be easy to put a thermometer and humidity gauge in a room that size, record the data for what, every half hour for 4 hours, and then the same thing with the light on. If no one has that kind of info, I'll just do it myself, but I don't get my light for a couple weeks. =\

Your question has to have more info! First what kind of light are you getting? 400w, 600w, cfl, t-5????? Also if you are getting a HID light are you going to have an enclosed hood? How big of a fan are you running?

250 watt Open reflector. I'm wondering about ventilation, that's why I'm wondering about temp. I want to put a six inch fan at the top, and someone else suggested another at the bottom.

I run a 600w open reflector in about the same area. I have a 440cfm fan at the top and I have one fan circulating air, and one at the bottom bringing in cool air. Why did you go with a 250w for that space? Why not a 400w?

Oh and I wish I would have spent the extra money on an enclosed hood! Anyone on the fence about buying an enclosed hood just do it!

I could definitely do that later, but I'm restricted with cash right now. I plan on only growin 2 girls at a time, for my roomate/business partner is a paranoid being, and thinks having 2 plant vs 4-6 makes a difference standing I front of a judge. I understand the concern, so I'll do what I can. What kind of temps can I expect in that area though?
