Grow Plan...need some advice

Hi, I am planning on growing soon... i have about a 4x3x8 grow space(8 feet high) I want to use a 1000 watt hps(with prober cooling ofcourse) and put plants on 12/12 after cloneing... i will be keeping a mother and starting clones under a 2 foot 4 bulb t5...growing in soil...useing fox farms nutes...The strain i want to grow is called chronic it is a plant that grows 1 big bud and yeilds 350-600 grams( doesnt take up much growing space per plant) do u think i should veg for 4 weeks first or just grow 12/12 from clone? i am planning on squishing as many plants as i possibly can in my grow space...it will turn into a wooden grow box with mylar on the inside... circulating fan...intake fan... and a carbon filter that goes through my light to cool down then outside.

Do you think i can get away with giveing a plant 1/2 foot squared to grow(keeping in mind the plants will be smalish plus its a smallish strain)
If i veg it will be under the 1000 watt hps too.

Would i be better of growing 12 plants and veg or like as many plants as i can fit in the space and 12/12 from clone??

any advise/ideas are welcome:idea::leaf::-P
:leaf:peace out:leaf:

it sounds like you are trying to achieve conflicting results. the yield you want to get requires veg time and larger pots, even with a narrow plant. count on 1 gal of pot for each foot of height of the plant. a 3 gal round pot takes up 1 sq ft and the plants typically more.

so, yes to veg and count on no more than 1 plant per square ft, lower if you're growing them big enough to get 1 lb per plant.

edit - on second thought your yield is probably per meter squared instead of per plant - still looking for 3ounces per plant, same answer re veg and number of plants

So you think if i vegged for 4 weeks and flowerd for 8(ish) and grow 12 plants under a 1000 watt hps(following the fox farms scedual) I will be able to get a pound per plant???? Should i just veg under the hps or what is cheap and cheap on electricity and good to veg with?

1 other thing should i water one day then give nutes the next ???Like it says on the fox farms scedual???

1 pound per plant indoors in a smaller grow area like your will be super difficult to attain at the very least.
i think you best bet would be to use 3 gallon grow bags if you must use soil as they have a much smaller footprint than pots (tall and skinny) .
fit as many clones as you can fit in half of your flower area and start them flowering.
trim the bottom 1/3 of the plant clean at the end of weeks 1 and weeks 3 to form SoG lollipops fill the second half at week 4 and trim the same and flower them out. also keep clones coming at 4 week intervals
this will allow you to harvest half of your room about every 4 weeks.
so rather then your poundage all at once you get close to an ounce per plant.
its my guess you will fit about 30 total plants in the area in 3 gallon grow bags allowing you to harvest 15 plants / roughly 15 ounces every 4 weeks .
so close to a pound every 8 weeks.
granted you could fill the whole room all at once but i think once you get rolling you will be happy to be pulling plants every month

no, i don't think you'll get a pound per plant. 2 to 4 ounces per plant is more realistic if you don;t make any major mistakes.

no nutes for the first three weeks if from seeds, then nute every third watering. you should only water when the plants need it, not every day.
