Grow Room Design

So.... I have a 12x9x8 space I can grow in as the flowering room. First, we are going to do a test run and get some clones for just 10 plants. Although we plan to buy more after the the first harvest. Here is what I got so far. Apollo 100W ballast light and cool tube. 720 CFM inline fan. and some smart pots....looking for good nutrients but thats a post for another thread...anything else I need that I'm not seeing besides the little nooks and crannies

hes gotta mean 1000w. test runs are very important imo. pick some easy strains. 720 cfms is retarded lol but your room is a decent size.

Yeah I meant 100w, but why is man retarted i read somewhere general rule of thumb is one air every minute, or what kind of fan do you suggest and why is that one better?

I found that after 28 years in the Infantry grow rooms are a lot like fighting positions... you keep coming up with ways to improve them. Light decipline, remember to cover up all those "power indicator lamps" on your power strips, timers and heater/dehumidifiers. They can put out significant amount of unwanted light during the dark cycle. I rigged up a separate circuit for a green tinted CFL just in case I need to enter during the dark cycle. It is also wise to keep in mind is you can set your light cycle during the evenings during the summer time which means having to use your AC less during the
day. You can also buy fan controllers that are temperature controlled so that in winter the fan will run slower allowing radiant heat from the lights to help keep your grow room warm and of course run faster during summer nights. Your flowering cycle will also provide your home with a lot of fresh
bud aroma... I get crap for this, but I always keep a bag of pop corn in nearby microwave oven during trimming operations, the smell of popcorn will
eliminate the odor of weed and as you know lingers for a day easily. Of course after firing up a bowl the popcorn comes in handy:)

i would suggest alot more light than a 100w more like 2-600's or 2 1000's . u need to make sure your water is good. also circulating fans will help to. and about nutrients. general hydro is a good starter brand. but i use advanced nutrients/botanicare both very good nutrients but a little spendy.

A single 1000 watt yeild master 2 will be more than sufficient for this space. They are sealed hoods so venting in and out should be of no consiquence. Air needs to be EXCHANGED on a constant. When using co2 emitters or gen you will need to bring a fresh supply of o2 to replace used oxygen. The plants will use more oxygen when utilizing co2 gas. stale air must be replaced with fresh as a cycle, between releasing new gas. Also with gas plants can withstand a higher temp without stressing. What you are creating with the use of gas is a rainforest. So watch for mold. Try power plant and power flower this is a good hydro or soil nute by botanicare. Don"t mix with other types of nutes as this seems to make the nutes ph swing. Thrive alive is the only thing I've found that is safe to use with these botanicare products.

test run with 20 plants and 2x1000watt hps! Then you will be able to cover first go round expenses and the next go round expenses !
