Grow Room, Mark II

This is the plan for the second attempt. First one was way too small. The intake vents were too small, it gets too hot during the day, too cold at night, too humid at night, isn't light proof, has no odour control and it's awkward to water the girls. :wall:

This is the were I got the calculations I've been using to work out the ventilation. Post #6. Does it seem right?

The mark II. Size will be 4' x 4' x 7'.

This one will have a carbon filter, and a HVK 125mm 350m^3/h (5" 206 cfm) fan which will be controlled by a timer:

but also connected to a thermostat:

and a humidistat:

Where's the best place to locate the sensor's for these?

If that's not enough to keep the humidity down,I'll get a de-humidifier.

Where's the best place to locate this in the room?

The fan will vent out the window (with some mods to the window for stealthiness). To preserve most of the cfm's, I hope to keep the ducting completely straight.

Are carbon filters light proof?

I'm also putting in a small heater, connected to the thermostat. I'm assuming since heat rises, I want this at the bottom. :?:

Light will be a 400w HPS. I'll also be using passive intakes, number and size to be determined.

The wall's will be white hard board covered with that white/black plastic on the inside. Due to a massive miscalculation, I bought 27 meters of it for a 3' x 2'x 6' box :dunce:

Any comments on any aspect?

Shall I assume this is the most amazing box design anyone has ever seen, and therefore you're all speechless?

Seriously though, any criticism welcome, especially on the two stats, anyone ever use them? Or anything similar?

Cheers

locate your near the center of your canopy. carbon filters are light proof. put it some where in the room where the sun wont shine on it through a window so you dont have to worry as much about excessive heat build up.

The stats are from ebay uk. The manufacturer is a company called forttex.

What should I locate near the center of the canopy?

Cheers, I might rethink the stats. Putting in a heater for the night cycle seems to have sorted out the humidity (and temp, obviously)in the mark I, unless I have day cycle temp issues in the mark II, I probably won't need either.
There is a digital dimming thermostat for maintaining constant temperatures. I might get that instead.
