Grow room setup question

I am looking to revamp my grow room, mostly the floor aspect. I need to keep plants off the cold concrete but would like a nice drainage setup so I do not have to move them to water them each time. I was wondering if anyone knows of a place that I could buy a floor unit that would raise the plants a little while providing for excellent drainage into a pan that I could empty. I might have to make something myself but if I could just buy something, it would be easier.

Well right now I have them on a couple box springs(sans fabric) and there was a huge difference in temperature of the soil. The only drawback is that I have to move each one whenever I have to water so I do not have a bunch of water on my floor. I like to water thoroughly. I don't have any problems making my own drainage system so I do not have to move my girls when I water them but I simply want to know if anyone knows a place that sells setups for just this occasion. Kind of a shot in the dark, I know but I have a couple months to get it together so I was hoping someone on here might know a place.

Maybe it is something someone should start manufacturing... a nice floor setup with removable overflow trays for basement growing.

I don't like moving my girls but I will not tolerate water standing water on my floor... especially when I am trying to control humidity.

I have built my friends many a custom table for small grows to save their backs from all the manual labor.

Build a table out of 2x4 and plywood with 2x4 sides on top of the table. Make one corner lower than the rest. Drill for a 3/4 inch drain. Buy a pond liner from your local pet store or buy one online. It will probably be twice the size you need. Cut it down to size ( you will probably have enough for 2 if your original gets a leak). Staple the liner the the top of the sides of your table. Make sure there is some slack inside the table for the liner to be able to fit in and not pull. Cut a small hole for the drain and hook it up. Good to go. Should be able to build it all for around 60 bucks, custom made, if you have some of this stuff laying around.

I went to lowes and bought these pretty heavy duty 2' x 2' grates they sell them in different sizes. Mounted them about 12" high off the floor in my closet so the plants sit there and can drain into bottom treys.

It depends on the size of your room, mine is 6x10. I glued down some 2" thick insulation Styrofoam board ( has one side reflective), then bathtubbed the floor will thick plastic, and covered that with harbor freights anti fatigue mats ( 2 thick). No heat transfer thru my floor. Less than sixty bucks on the floor.

Lowes HD also sells small cement mixing tubs ~ $8 (2'+ x 3'+). sturdy plastic. Put a couple 2 x4... 4 X4s under them. If it's still too cold, they also sell thick insulated foam boards, which they will cut for you

Just for clarification I was suggesting a table to more help with the daily watering and the mess it can make, and to also allow you to not have to move the plants too much to save your back. JR

Please see my first and what will be my only thread (in this section). It will not only solve your problem but if used properly (with no modifications to my specs) it should eventually change your life through gigantic yield increases.

use justugh's idea, but iv seen this before, build long platforms 'wood wrapped in tarp with a grove down the center' about 6 inches off the ground, put wheels on the bottom of it, skateboard wheels will do, and make it about a half inch lower on one end, u can move 20 plants around easy this way, and when you water them the drainage will go from one end, to the other and drip into a basin/bucket whatever you want to use.
