We now offer a lighting simulation service, Give us your room size, your grow area, the wattage you want to expend, preferred height to plant and using IES files we can plot the PPFD you will get for a particular layout. How do we generate this.
We use our Goniometer to create an IES file, we convert to a Horticultural model, drop that into the Simulation software and compute the data. So this is based on real world operating performance of a light source, not based on led data sheets

Sokskin with 4 x 560 single line strip boards with Cree J Series, whats nice about this is we can make minor tweaks on the fly in light sources, light spacings, geometry, current settings etc to find the best case layout without touching a screwdriver, Quick takeaway on this is that over several products/configurations 18 inches is the sweet spot of hang heights
