Grow room Vs Grow Tent

I almost bought a few 10x10 tents, but I want everything set up permanently and framing in rooms is pretty cheap. I think I can set up ventilation and fans better in actual rooms also and honestly is just looks more professional.

Of course, what's inside those rooms and tents is what is most important. For temp set-ups and rentals and shit, you cannot beat a tent.

i built a 1.2m x 1m x 1.4 hi cab with a smaller cab and space for the extractor fans and filters above it.............just looks like a big cupboard.......being wooden it soaks up the noise from the fans...

Have just finished buying most of what I need...two tents to go into a garage. One is a GrowLabs GL145 and the other a GL240. They will be attached with ducting; the 145 for veg and the 240 for flower. The veg will have a T5 8 bulb and a T5 4 bulb next to it with a thermostat and a 4" fan for cooling if need be along with fan(s) for air movement.
The GL240 will have 2 600 watt bulbs (Lumatek ballasts) with 6" Yieldmaster Supremes (SunMaster MH for two weeks and then Hortilux for the remainder), 2 Feliz 250 watt CFL with reflectors for additional veg, a 6" CanFan with filter and a Danby 13,000 BTU A/C with dehumidifier function with venting out a window.

A grow room would be nice, but the tents keep everything out of the house. It will be on 1 acre with a fenced yard. Can't wait to get it set up and post pix..

i have a couple tents for pheno testing and males but my actual garden is all framed in with plywood walls with the roll insulation and also the foam board insulation completly sealed... i dont think i would ever use a tent for my main grow rooms unless i was in a rental house

I do get better growth from homemade grow boxes "tents". veg box then into flower room for me.

I use both but only flower in my Rooms.

What you guys prefer to do your gardening in?

I think preference is mostly dictated by what the growers situational constraints are. Somebody in a house is definitely going to be happier with a dedicated room whereas somebody in an apt. or rented property would probably opt for a grow tent to keep everything contained and discreet.

I can see that. I was asking just because I am in the middle of finally moving my Grow to my new house. Just seeing it if building another room is worth it or not...? Had two GL240 picked out, Just can't seem to pull the trigger and totally abandon the room.(just to find out flowering in tents sucks).. then again remodeling my finished basement is not looking like an awesome choice either LOL

Shit those white foam coolers they sell work great for growth using cfls! I have used 4 powerstrips each with 3 cfls in it and that som bitch was so bright it almost would nuke my eyes. I think the coolers are only like 15 bucks and they can give mylar a run for its money. Just gotta have a small fan blowing inside it from above. I have pics somewhere?

If you have the option to design and build your room...most people here would be envious. I'm using tents because we'll be in a friend's oversized garage on a 1 acre piece of fenced land. He wants to keep everything out of his house ergo my tent system.

You know the answer. Please post lots of pics.

If you're not ready to build that room out and want to start, p/u blk rolls o plastic, wide as possible lots o overlap better. A sheet of the plastic cardboard (plasticore) from art store, cut into 1" sqrs for when staplegun- keeps plastic from tearing. temporary done in a day for cheap... the light leakage is inevitable. / furnace, a/c and electric upgrades may want to be planned before permanent rooms..

edit: did you say your basement is finished? my reply is for an unfinshed room.
there are ways to not f/u nicer finished rooms...
