noise is minor ........it is background white noise ..with in 2 weeks u will not notice it any more ........the fan itself is going to be the most noise 90 dbs or so
if u are looking to hear it u can but otherwise it fades into the background
as for that temp thing u have ............again the cheaper choice is the Fisk tank temp sticker .......also your PH pen/meter will have a Temp reading on it or a auto correct subroutine

this was my first one it lasted me 2 years easy to use and read ........it has a temp read out plus the correction subroutine (to make sure it is always right is the calibration solutions all 3 of them ) i pour them into a shot glass so u are only using 23/25 mls at a time
