a 6in vortex with aspeed controller will do all you need and then some. then when you want to move up you can use the same fan. i run the same tent and have ran 1200 watts in there and the vortex cooled it fine. im running 2 1k likhts in a 4x8 now and useing the same fan just bumped up the speed a bit.
there is something to be said about not maxing your fan out first rattle out of the hat. always have more than you need, you never know when you will need it. and then its usually too late.

I dont have a tent yet but planning on getting one once I find a good place for it. But currently im doing a ebb an flow grow, 1000 watt hps, 4x4 tray. with Bubba, Herouana, an skywalker. And im planning on getting a 4x4 or a 4x8 tent.

any one using a light rail / mover in your tent? how are you guys mounting the rail? i used some carabiner's and some Eye hooks drilled into a 2 x 4. the problem with this apprently is that is not level and the wheel's and gear wore out. looking for better ideas.

Hello fellow Tent lovers.

I run 3 Growlab 4½' x 9' tents. One is an open-loop system in my one-car garage. The other two are closed-loop systems (with Co2) in my buddy's 3-car garage. I run 2k in each tent, with the ebb and grow pot system (upgraded to 3gal pots). I've gotten 6-8 cycles out of each one, so it's all pretty refined now.

Height can really be a problem in tents, so that's why I love the ebb and grow pots. Yields have always been between 2lbs to 4lbs, depending on which system and which strain. Now that I've done it a few times, I can consistantly hit between 3 to 4lbs.

Tents RULE!

Ive been having trouble with powder mildew in my tent (5x5 with 1000 watt 375cfm exhast fan, 16 inch oscillating fan in the corner hung upside down). I used green cure till i finished the cycle, i have my next one started in a spare closet. Any suggestions about possible better ventilation/ preventative mesures to avoid this in the future?

Do you have an intake fan for fresh air? better circulation may be what you need.

I am setting up two of these next to each other. Can I/ Should I use 400w in these? 2x3x5 grow tent. I already have (2) 400's in cool tubes w/ lumatek ballasts. I can use them in other spots and get new lights if I would be better off. Not interested in spending $1000 on led, but would buy Quantum bad boy if it is worth the purchase. Any ideas? If so, Thank You very much.
yes use your 400watters with these tents, keep the lights as close as you can and do a scrog grow.

That was exactly my plan. Then I started hearing that is too much. Nonsense! Thank You +rep.
I want to rotate Plush Berry, Dairy Queen, Cheese Quake, and Agent Orange between the 2 tents.
That sounds like a pretty good rotation for the office. lmao.

My only suggestion is to use a 400 CFM fan and hook it up to BOTH tents, it will suck the air out of both no problem, as long as you don't have crazy hot temps in the summer, i.e. if you are in an air conditioned space, if not get 1 fan for each tent, I have 165 cfm and it's working now, but I will need to upgrade to a 400 CFM fan for the summer months for sure, I will surely run a 600watter with that fan though. we'll see!

good luck to you!

I can throw a window unit in my office, but I'd rather not. I want to use co2 on the tents. I was thinking about a 1/4 hp chiller and two ice boxes w/co2. I can put a dryer vent by my front door or exhaust through my office to next room and use room next to my office as a bud room. That sounds smarter and much more expensive and a lot more work. That's usually the way it goes.
Bottom line is I want two tents in my office with pure dank. I wanted two tents in order to conduct little experiments, like training, equipment, feeding, nutes, light schedules, etc, etc, etc. It sucks hearing about good techniques and not being able to try them out without risking a whole crop.
I figure I would sew the two tents together and link the lights or put two new 6 inch openings in top. I figure when my other tent comes in probably monday, I will put them next to each other and what needs to happen will be obvious.
