Grow Tent for general herbs as well as weed?

Can you grow basil, coriander etc in the same grow tent as weed without any problems? My gf uses a lot of herbs in cooking and they are a pain to buy all the time and wondered if I could fast grow them under lights?

yes they will grow no problem but in a way it can affect yield with the size they grow, they weed can quickly outgrow it and your yield in the basil will decrease. or lets say the basil outgrows the weed somehow and hogs up all the light it can affect bud yield. I am currently facing the same situation, should i grow my tobacco with my herb? I choose not to because Im doing low yielder that need every bit of light to get a respectable yield. so I made a CFL vegg box and keeping my tobacco growing till summer were I can transplant outside and grow monster tobacco plants while getting the most herb i can out of my indoor.

sounds like a good call. Just have a separate CFL set up close to the general herbs and have my buds in the grow tent.

My girl grows our herbs under florescent shop lights, on a shelf that gets hit by the sun during the day. They grow faster than we can eat them.

I have no extra room under my expensive to run HID lights to fit in herbs, Every where light shines I put a plant. : )
