Sunhut got out the shot gun and shot from the hip and got lucky. They used the Darkroom material on the inside of their thick canvas. So, (except for the second floor) they have a perfectly good tent now and because of the thick canvas, it is actually more absorbant (IR light and radiated heat) than the Darkroom.
[It reflects 97% of light just like the Darkroom -- this is light, not radiant heat as Everest and BG Hydro are claiming on their websites. They show a clear misunderstanding of radiant heat. As the Darkroom heats up over time, the heat moves through the material and the material gets hot. They cannot reflect 97% of radiant heat over time, they must too absorb that heat and they don't have the necessary layers to do so. ]
As Sunhut left the second floor in the old white plastic, this shows a CLEAR misunderstanding of the problem (that they never had ...my ass) but if you just don't use that second floor, you will be fine.
The ceiling has been redone too, so all in all, they got lucky and are back on the market with a very usable product.
Look for prices to start falling now due to competition. Also, look to other sites for the Darkroom than just BGH. BGH & Everest (the wholesaler) are owned by the same people. Other stores will be able to discount the tents and BGH won't do that so those other stores don't get angry with them.
