grow tent set up

was looking at getting this but just want to know if it was worth it or not its just under £200 and also how much could i grow in it ?

Sounds like a decent deal to me mate, you could probably grow 4-6 plants comfortably in there, how will you be growing? Ebb,n,Flow?

For the money thats pretty good but i rekon your gonna need a bigger fan especially come summer.

first grows just going to be a soil grow but been reading up on ebb and flow as well as dwc so not sure

so what size fan you think id need ?

6 inch inline, 400 cfm

With a 600w in a tent i would have a 6in for extraction and id go with a ruck or rvk not an inline tt. I used to grow in a dr120 and come summer its a bitch you gotta have a decent fan or things become way to hot and i cant see a 4in tt handling the heat.

Rucks and rvks are inline as well but those TT fans dont move enough CFM of air. Most growers use rucks and RVKs there just different makes of fan with a higher CFM rating compared to the TT line of fans. If your in the market for a fan then check out a store which deals in fans such as justfans.co.uk rather than a hydro shop you get better deals sometimes so its worth checking.

it will get to hot, like a little oven in my experiance 95 degrees n shit, but fukit youl still get good bud from it, it will just take longer and maybe littel less potent and little less amount [in my experiance] but your fine to start with this and upgrade in future, we started using cooltubes coz of the heat another 50 quid on top thoe plus they steal some of ur light, wich pissed me off one time when i crammed 11 in to a 1.2m by 1.2m so i bought another cooltube and an used 2 Y peices of ducting 1200 watts of red spectrum in them little tents ... daft, but they keep temps spot on. These days we only use one fan [instead of one for cooltube and one for tent] and have our carbon can connected to the cooltube so the air passes thru the can, thru the cooltube and out the tent. The 100mm [4inch] fan will do fine for now just get a 125mm [5inch] fan when u get some doe back from this one, bookmark this website for when u want ur fan, http://www.justfans.co.uk/

ah right well going to have to collect some more funds for a better fan later on

but for the time being would i be ok with the above set up but changing the fan to an (5 inch) tt125 fan two speed

Just for comparison a TT125 moves 280m3/hr of air the same size fan but made by ruck moves 365m3/hr of air. You would be better of with the 5in TT IMO but then you need to match it to a filter. You will probably find you need an intake fan as well when summer comes as passive air flow probably wont be enough but for now you might get away without.

yea youd be fine but you cant get that kit with a 125 fan as the ducting comes as 100mm and the can is 100m... unles they do a higher spec package or u buy a reducer [bout a tenner]?? also cooltubes start at 125mm so u could nt get a 100mm cooltube, i dont wanna scare u but my bro sed that hes seen one of them 200 quid or 210 packages and sed all the shit was propper low grade BUT dont take that as gospal, plus iv seen top notch bud come from rly shit set ups so it makes me wonder sometimes. Maybe put another 150 to that 2ton and get some mint shit i kno thats not including feed and electric but it will be worth it

cooltube with a matal halide in it, 10 liter air pots with coco substrate in em, canna feeding regime, FUKING RAPID
but you will still get good bud from the 100mm setup. Plus u can build on it once u have the tent adding new shit end of each grow, just hope they send u a decent tent
