Grow Tent Too Hot!!!

just changed my 9 big buddha cheese over from 2 55w fluorescents to a 600w hps and the temps in my tent have gone crazy 95 degs. my tent is 1.2 x 1.2 x 2m using 100mm extractor fan no intake, the tent is in a small bedroom with the radiators turned off and the window slightly open.
should i buy a cooltube or bigger extractor fan or has someone got a better idea. cheers

I would reccomend getting a bigger extraction fan maybe a 6inch, you can use the fan you already have for intake.

Are you using vented and sealed hoods? If not I would go with changing that first. Larger fan perhaps as well.

thanks for both your posts and no im not using vented hood at the moment gastanker but i am gonna have a look into getting one, think im gonna get a bigger extractor and use the 100mm as intake

Get a sealed hood with a 6inch inline, depending on your location you will have trouble cooling that in summer time. I have almost the same size room and I have trouble with a 6in inline a 4in inline and a 600.

no don't use your current fan as intake, you will be undermining ventilation, better to use it along any other exhaust fan you get to exhaust air out and allow holes in bottom of tent for passive intake. a cooltube will help a lot
