Is this a bad idea ? I’m venting threw the roof of tent just into the room the tent is in. I have no other way to vent outside that room and smell is a concern no can not vent it outside. Am I putting to much air in my tent. The negative pressure is eliminated obviously. These fans are strong. 82627604-780C-430E-8902-CD19AE9F7B2B.jpeg
 
You don't have to exhaust the air outside. You can just have a fan and filter exhausting the tent air into the room. You'll still need a way to manage temps, but with LEDs, it's much less of a challenge.

Trying to blow air into the tent, through a microfilter is very inefficient. You'll have to run your fan much faster than normal, which adds heat from the fan to the room.

You really only need to have the filter connected from about the 3rd or 4th week of flower. There won't be any odors before then. If smell is of a concern, you might want to get a room air purifier, as well as the inline fan and filter. Using the fan the way you have it set up, and without a carbon scrubber, you will accumulate so much smell in your residence, that it will be detectable from several houses away.
 
Not to mention that having an open port on top, to let the positive air exhaust the tent, is an opening for critters to invade your crop, especially when the fan isn't running, during lights out. Not saying that'll definitely happen, but it does open an opportunity, and you don't want to give bugs any opportunity!
 
I have a 4x4 tent 6 inch filter and fan and I run it 24/7. Thanks for all the replies. I was not blowing air into the tent befor I posted this. I just did it to show my idea. I have 450 watts , a Philzon 2000 cob.

I run my inline fan and filter 24/7. No critters. My temps are spot on. 77 ambient 81 canopy temps.
 
the primary concern with exhausting in the same space as your intake is drawn from is that you will effectively "use up" the amount of available C02 in the environment unless you have a way to continually provide fresh air to the room.. a window with a small fan in it would be acceptable, but you claim you have no way to exhaust outside which implies that you dont have access to a window so you may need to look into supplementing C02. also you do not need an intake fan, dial in your extraction fan to create a small negative pressure- enough to suck in the sides of your tent a little but not aggressively, if your temps rise you will need to figure out another solution for cooling, do not change the fan adjustment, your extraction fan is for managing proper air exchange, not cooling.

I have a window open. Just don’t want to vent outside because of the smell
 
you have a carbon filter.. if your fan is dialed it in for proper air exchange smell will not be an issue.. and if you have a window open anyway and your fan is improperly dialed in then the filter is not absorbing the smell and the smell will be escaping the open window anyway.. not trying to be a dick but if your gonna do something you might as well do it right yea?
