Grow Update, Thoughts Wanted

Well, I am approaching harvest on my first plant. I think that I am heading to Home Depot on Wednesday to get parts that are needed from a rubbermaid bud dryer with a carbon filter to try and make it odorless. Anyways, here are some bud pics of the plant, and one dried bud from the branches I took off already.

Let me know what you think about the buds. From a trichrome assessment, they appear to be all cloudy, and possibly a couple amber ones starting. From best guesstimates, they started to flower around August 15, so about 8 weeks of flower already.

Dude, they look nice but if your trics are all milky with just a few amber then start a good flush (like 3 times the amount of the container) followed by another one several days later and plan to harvest several days after the 2nd flush.

I don't have to worry about flushing as I have not used any nutes on this grow. It is my first and I just wanted to try and get a harvest without going too overboard. So it looks like they are good enough to go in about 4-6 days or so possibly?

i see pale hairs still... makes me think 1 - 2 weeks.. but just watch the trychomes - they don't lie...

Well I almost got half of the plant harvested. I hate trimming. LOL. Anyways, when I looked at my other plant, this is what I noticed, some purpling.

A couple of the harvested bud shots. Don't laugh at the trimming job. It isn't that great, but it will get the job done. Tonight I am finishing my carbon scrubbing dry box tonight or in the morning and I will harvest the rest of the plant.

I lost one bud to some bud rot. Some of these bigger buds feel as hard as a rock. I am liking already. The only problem I can foresee is the weather forecast isn't as nice as it used to be. There are some rain and gold days in the forecast. I can only hope that my 2nd plant has enough time to finish as it has at least 2 more weeks, and possibly more left.

As I was going to harvest my first plant tonite, I ran into a problem. Due to how I was harvesting, I could only take a few branches in at a time.

Well, after I get about 3 trimmed, I go back out, and some ASSHOLE decided to jack the rest of my plant and jack my bigger plant that still had a couple weeks left. At least they are getting MJ that isn't completely done. I didn't even to get the main cola of the plant I was harvesting. I am sick to my stomach right now.

This was a backyard grow in which I told no one about them for obvious reasons, and not just because of the threat of them getting taken, but for the fact that they were in my yard. The only thing that I can think of is that some kids have probably smelled them, since I could go to my car and occasionally smell them. I don't know, but it sucks. How it would happen on my harvest night I have no idea. Now I wish that I had harvested that plant yesterday which was a possibility, but I decided to wait til tonight.

At least I got some of my harvest in. I was hoping for 8-12 ounces with the look of my second plant, but will have to settle with the 2 or so I got to harvest. Will have to let it dry and find out at that point.

Anyways, I am so pissed right now. I am going to go smoke, and smoke, and maybe smoke some more.

Dude im so sorry to hear that. I had an 8 footer back home that i lost sleep over cause i was so nervous. i got lucky tho. The best thing you can do is cut your losses be happy that you got something. But i know how you feel if i ever caught one of those fuckers im scared i wouldn't be able to control myself. Anyways you did a great job congrats!

Well, the first half of what I harvested is in a jar right now. Dried up at 50g, so just shy of 2oz, and I have about another 2-2.5 oz left drying and then I am done. Looks like I would have had about 6oz from this plant had I got the whole thing, but I have to settle for about 4oz, and missing the 6-10 oz I would have had from the other plant. Gives me some encouragement for next year.

Well, the last set of buds were getting crispy and jarred as well. It is amazing how much they can sweat out and go from crispy to softer because of the evening of the moisture.

Anyways, I am up to 200gs, give or take 1, and had 16gs harvested early, so we are calling it 215g from 2/3s of one plant since it was hijacked, and I didn't even get the main cola, so I would guess that would be another 15-30gs or so. I could be off, but who knows.

Err, I think the total is 123gs whoops.
