What's up all? Tha Rev comin' to ya live from NC...I've been "pervin" the site for a little while for some more info/knowledge(thanks to everybody who has written strokes of genius that have helped...as well as strokes of "dumbass" that have made me, well...raf out roud), but figured it was time for my first post on here. No better place to do it than the "'Ole North State Grow" post! I've tried to grow a time or two outside but nothing serious. out of the 1-2 plants that I have had, they all seemed to be males. But this year IS different! Been saving some nice bag seed that I've acquired. Germed quite a few, picked out the strongest 5-6, weaned to 3. I got pretty lucky and 2/3 turned out females. Pulled the male early (although it was the biggest), and they've been growing strong since. Don't really have "progression" shots but here are a few the wife took the other day (I think Sept 7th) of the biggest of the girls. The "runt" smells real danky and pungent(and not pictured yet), where as this one smells quite "citrusy", so we shall call her Clementine...hehe I'm open to any info/Const. criticism that may be given. Thanks to everybody again. May your harvest be bountiful and the fruits of your labor be sweet and strong.

Was a sub post in another thread, decided to make it a thread of it's own...I'm uploading more pics soon...

Here are a few more the wife took today. Seems to be coming along great, to me at least. I'm a noob when it comes to the growing. I'm open to any input, tips, tricks etc. I just started watering this morning mixing in molasses. Hope it goes well, we shall see...

Thank ya sir...I come to the conclusion now that I really should have written down when I first saw the pistils come into view, that way I would know for sure...I pulled my male about 2-3 weeks it seems before I saw the females show. How long would you think it would be before maturity? I know it's dependent on how the trich's look, but what, maybe 6-8 weeks total? I can't imagine then going for another 3-5 weeks. And then another 1-2 before I can touch them..ARRRRRGH! This is torture!

Looks great man...dunno what part of nc you're in but molds been eating my ass up. You had any problems with it?

How bout grabbin some shots of the whole plants?

I'm in the Triad...haven't seen any sign of mold on mine, but haven't had a crazy rain lately either. The mountains have had a tad more. I have noticed that early in the AM, they are covered in dew, but that usually "burns off" by 10-10:30. I would assume relieving itself of any dampness problems. I'll get some full body shots tomorrow....Stay tuned. lol

Yo rev, nice plants. I was listening to the Star Wars theme when I clicked on your page and it blew my mind! lolll. Oh how I love RIU.

Here's my Swiss Cheese from Nirvana at 4 weeks into flower today...

Angus...I've had to prune out some bud mold too recently in the past coupla days...I had consistant rain for two days...but now yesterday and today things are drying up...just gotta keep an eye out...

Sorry Rev...I hope you don't think I'm jacking your thread...I just wanted to convey that even at 4 weeks old, I still am only half way into flower...figure I'll be harvesting her the middle of October, just before my first frost!:bigjoint:

Here are a few updated shots. These were taken Sept 14th. I'll post the ones that were taken today here in just a sec...The second pic has some dried white stuff on the leaves, but it seemed to appear right after a real dewy morning, so it was like was being "deposited" there when the dew evaporated. It's no longer a concern thank goodness.

How long do you think I should wait before trying out my sample that I harvested 30 hrs ago? The stem still seems pretty "green", but i def don't want to rush anything, and still need to cure after drying as well, i suppose, so i'm not disappointed or anything. I didn't really know how to go about drying it out that would ensure air flow around it, so....I took one of those corn ear holders with the 2 prongs sticking out of it, and speared the small stem of the bud with one of the prongs, giving me a way to prop it up on my dresser, nothing touching any sides of the bud, with the ceiling fan giving decent air circulation. It is VERY sticky to the touch and trich's are glistening like crazy...can't wait to try.
