they take 3-4 days but up to a week. the tin foil will cause hotspots. if youve got 250 to invest heres what you should do-go to www.htgsupplies.com and purchase a 400w hps bulb and ballast, its like 120.. then get yourself a good venting system. 2 nice strong fans blowing air out and an oscilating fan to have blowing directly on the plants.
ok i got a fan and are u talking about a mist fan ,,is any any of those light ok and will they work if i just get one of those things but ur saying i need high powered one right light..ok so u are saying that room is should just be painted i thought tin foil refelect light..a venting system i can open up the room the place it is daily but i cant cut know holes that would a problem

nah, no mist fans. how many watts is that light and how many lumens? you could try to grow w/your cfls and flouro tubes but the hps will completely blow them away, trust me, getting an hps light is worth it. plants yeild alot more and grow alot faster. im not bashing fluoro tubes and cfls at all ive used them in the past lots of times, but if you look at a pic of a plant grown with hps and a pic of a plant grown with the same wattage of cfls/tubes and the difference is easy to see.
the light is a work light lol but it puts out uv alot lol ..i dont know the watt it dont say but it is a light u by to work in grarge under car real bright but the lights i have will do it sir right so with that light i can do it i know when u grow with the the last light i put up there ur leaves will stand up and with out it they will look droppy

That is a halogen work light. It wont work. The best advice anyone could give you, is to read one of the many beginners grow guides on this site. I wish you luck.

Take Down that tinfoil it will just make it hot.
Invest in some mylar dont get the 1mm thick get atleast the 2mm thick... Make sure you have 6500k Lights For vegging (Blue Spectrum) If your poor buy CFL's, Make sure to read the lumens also dont forget.. 2700k Lights For Flowering (red spectrum) Its the cheapest form of lights out there if you dont have much too spend but i recommend HPS lights if you have a bit of money to spend. Do 24 Hours of light Until you wish to bud your plants than switch to 12 on and 12 off, Buy a timer. Dont Grow Shitty seeds you got from shitty weed, If you want premium plants buy from a seedbank online i always buy from www.worldwide-marijuana-seeds.com They will ship and have it to your house within a week. Dont forget to germinate your seed, Buy Good soil (not shitty dirt or something) Thats just some basics..

thank u i will take it down after they pop above soil but yes i guess i have to buy some more seeds or try to get some out a bag and yes good green and mylar i will get what is the cheapes not to smelly good bud seed there.so u have to have blue for flowering and red for budding but what would happen if u just change the timer with out those would they did or still bud what if u did not ever get red or blue lights but i will just asking will they still grow and bud

its red for flower blue for veg. imo color spectrum doesnt really matter, ive used only red spectrum for a whole grow and only blue a whole grow and the traditional blue for veg red for flower and they basically turned out the same, a mixed spectrum however did make a difference, the plants grew faster than any of the other experiments. mostly blue in veg w/ a little red and vice versa for flowering. as for videos on growing check out youtube, their are a ton on there.

any bulb you get will have a color spectrum, either more towards red (soft white) or blue(full spectrum/daylight). unless its in the green spectrum, which will do you no good at all since plants dont absorb green light......

sorry it took so long, ive been online for a little bit everyday but havent really had much time to deal with all the subscribed threads w/new messages i get and everyday more are added. so its taken me this long to get down on the list to your thread. those are ok for growing with, but you'll need alot more than 40w's.
