Growing from a single Leaf

Hey, it's my first grow using Clones and i accidently tried to clone plants from single big fan leaves. Anyways after i looked up how to actual cut clones from motherplants i realized that my first try went wrong.

I took 10 Clones and they all rooted tho.. would it be a waste to keep them in my growroom or should i get rid of them now to replace them with proper cut clones?

Has anyone ever tried to grow a plant from single big fan leaves?

If I understand correctly you took a clone off a plant that had single-blade fan leaves and now are wondering if growing that out will be okay?

In my experience you probably didn't take the most vigorous cuttings but the genetic potential should still be there.. I would let them grow for a few weeks and see if they come back with 5 blade leaves, if they keep having that freaky 1 leaf stuff then toss to the garbage and try again.

When cloning you want to take nice healthy branches that look like how you want a new plant to look. Never take cuttings with defects or undesirable traits or you're just cloning the same shit and you won't be happy.

No i took a single big fan leave without branches and tried to use that as a clone. Now only a single fan leave is sticking out of the pot without any branches.

I just killed one of them and the rooting was superb, but like i said i realized my error just now and i don't think that a plant can grow out of a single leaf.

I'm keeping 2 of them in my box to see if something happends and i just took new cuttings (proper ones this time!)

You have proper clones as such if you want to keep them.
10 plants take up a lot of space time and effort if I wasn't going to flower them soon I'd cut fresh ones nearer the time.

If you wait like a year the leaf might send out a shoot out of itself or grow a lump on top and a shoot will come out of there. Takes months and months though. That's a good one. Cloning fan leaves. Lol
