hi there every one. can anyone help me? i have just started a grow in a garage with a 2x2x2 tent sea of green 50 planter an need some help on how to keep the temp right as its very cold. anyone help me out thanks?

depends on what light you got
i am doing the same thing, got my seedlings started and its only about 65F. was thinking of just turning on my 600 to veg instead of my t5s to keep it warmer.
i got a little 15$ heater from wallyworld, going to try that too.
i also have to put in a fish tank heater for the reservior.
never thought i would have to heat my room. but yes it is very cold out in a garage.

I would get a fan that blows hot air and you can set the temp. it is like a heater with a fan rofl. So you get your air ciculation and it keeps your garage at a perfect 71degrees. Use a carbon filter and pump old air out and use heater fan to pump new air in at a perfect temp. This is what i did for my buddys grow and he never took it down gl hoped this helped.

I grew in my garage before. All i did was put up a ceiling and insulation between. Think I used the Space Blanket type insulation and hardboard for the ceiling. Wasn't too expensive. That and a heater on a thermostat at night solved the temperatures in my garage, but it depends how many holes you have where air can get in.
McBlow's suggestion of having the lights on at night is a good idea, but it depends if your tent is 100% sealed without light leaks.

rofl 2x2x2 you will not get 50 plants in there maby 4 at max you need to rethink this. use your whole garage what is the point of a tent go big if you want 50 plants and you better watch out for cops and get two 1000w hps for 50 plants.

personally id do what another poster said and keep the lights off at the hottest times of the day...
if going 12/12 run the lights to where they stay on at night and off in the day...
without a heater this is your best bet.

A Sea of Green in a 2 x 2 area Shouldn't need more than 16 plants.
That aside, when temps are very low, I put my plants on a table covered with a plastic sheet, to the ground/floor.
A small space heater is placed under the table, and I set the thermostat to keep soil temperatures comfortable. For mature plants, the 40's are adequate. Young plants need temps over 50 degrees.
Clones and seeds need a minimum of 70 degrees to thrive.(Water can be an issue at 70 degrees, so be vigilant.)
Remember, these are soil temperatures.
