Growing in a rented property (UK)

I will soon be rented a two bedroom house in the UK. I plan on using one of the rooms for a grow.
My question is: Does the landlord have the legal right to enter the property, or is there some kind of privacy clause that would allow me to stop him?

he cant just randomly come in but he does need to give you notice if he needs to come into the property and/or if say the property needs a safety check on some appliances or something like that. this is what happened to me last time i rented. if i was you i would grow in a tent. easier to get rid of in an emergencey!

So a private landlord needs to give notice too. 24 hours?
Yeah, I'm planning on using a tent. A DR300 would fit nicely in a double room.

I imagine you'd be a lot better off with a private landlord, I've done multiple grows in a rented flat (miller metcalfe), first time I didn't use a carbon filter... bad idea! the whole 3 storey building stank man.

I'd say be friendly, get a vibe for what the guy is like and go for it, just a warning though, being 6 weeks into flower and finding out you've got a visit coming ain't fun at all man.

peace, be careful.

They always need to give you a notice. They cannot just randomly come in or knock on the door to check something, otherwise he's going against the policy rules or contract.

My brother in-law was telling me the other week about his mate. His mate grows in rented houses, a few at a time usually. Something went wrong in the house he was growing in at the time. The landlord inevitably found out about his grow. He tried to pay the landlord off to allow him to continue the grow til harvest, the landlord took his money and demanded he got rid anyway. He tried to get rid of the plants, the person supposed to take them did take them, well 3 guys with machetes did. The landlord came back and the lights and everything were still there, so he got rid of them himself. Just saying i wouldn't grow in a rented house.
