Growing in apartment good idea?

Im planing on doing a small grow, but i live with my parents, so i am planing on renting a apartment. do any of you do this? i plan on renting in a upscale area where crime rate is very low. also is it better to rent a apartment that includes electricity or one where i pay the electricity bill myself? thanx

if ur doing a small grow jus use some cfls. when u say small how small for personal use? as a tenant ur landlord has the right to give u 24hr notice upon entering. i wrk in apts for my day job and some have killer closets that would wrk beautifully id do it

im planing on using the whole apartment for the grow. 2 bedroom apartment + the living room and kitchen. so im guessing around 70 plants

You will get busted in no time flat trying to grow that big in an apartment for every reason you can imagine and then some.

You would need a house, and preferrably one you own.

don't listen to those guys you can do it if you scout out the right place.

Be careful because your landlord does not need to give you notice in the case of a emergency (fire,burst water pipes, ect )

if i was gonna grow a whole living space, which i wouldnt, i wouldnt do it in an apartment. rent a shitty ass house that has a little space and do it there. if you have the money to set up a whole house grow, then you have enough money to rent a house instead of an apartment. good luck, cause i thnk your gonna need it.

to grow a whole apartment you would need like 10- 1000 waters. so many fans and the smell would be gigantic and noise could be factor. would take 10's of thousands, like high tens, to properly do this. and no one, like no one could come in if your using the whole space.

IMO I don't think you are ever going to find an apartment with the power requirements for more than a few 1000 watters.

have you ever grown before?

hey i did it in an apt. only in one room with a 4x4 ebbflo and a 600watt light and when is hooked everything up fans pumps light i blew the breaker so i had to run ext. cords from all over the apt to the room one from the living room one from the kitchen and one from the bathroom it sucked but i got it to work. your talking about 10 1000watters your going to blow breakers constantly i wish you luck. also nice apt. means snotty people that complane and drop the dime in a second. i grew in the cheapist ghetto apt i could find and never had a problem the you want to find a place by a party apt. that way everyone looks and complanes about them and not your quiet apt.

go back and read the FAQ's on security dude. no way to pull that off in an apartment. I would only stick with closet grows in an apartment. dont get too greedy. it is not worth it.

I am growing in a closet in a apartment. I have scouted the place for 6 months, i have a carbon filter, ona gel/soil moist with a fan, completely sealed the closet and made sure no one knows.

this is a sog with 30 clones going. I have no smell issues at all and thats in a tight 10sq ft closet. on top of this im only using a 400watt hps light.

i dont think you could pull off growing in an entire apartment. you think you can rent a place, pay for utilities, the lights, the nutes, the hydroponic systems, the smell/ventilation issues and expect to have nosey neighbors, landlords, etc not notice who comes in and out of it? even if you didnt say you lived with you parents, i could have guessed that you were a kid with no real world experience. you'd have to have a large sum of money to get an op like that up and running AND kept secret. dont let your naivety and greed get you thrown in jail.

lol a whole apt i thought u said small id do like maybe 4 absolute tops of a short indica or hybrid, or 1 or 2 bigger sativas in an apt and id be in lockdown and buddy is right rent in the ghetto.
