Growing in backyard...question/idea about masking the smell

Hi all, I'm a novice grower looking for some help. I have 9 plants in 2 or 3 gal pots. As of right now they are thriving. Seems like they are doubling in size every few days (they are all about a foot tall right now). I have a privacy fence and a lot of trees and shrubs around the edges of my yard which block any viewpoints of my plants from neighbors. They are still in veg but I'm already starting to notice a smell which obviously will only get stronger. I've been trying to come up with some ideas on how best to mask the smell. I'm thinking a good idea may be to buy a bunch of those air fresheners for cars and apply 5-10 of them on each of the pots the plants are in. I think that should help alter the smell. I'll probably have to apply new ones every week or so but that is fine. Thoughts? Or any better ideas?

Burn some incense?? Masking the smell outdoors is nearly impossible unless you start growing more smelly plants near ur weed. Another option is to barbecue everyday. Maybe burn some citronella candles at night.

Thanks for the ideas.

Lol hell yeah I'll just throw a bunch of curry all over my lawn. I like the incense idea but I would have to burn it all day everyday. I can't remember if tiki torches give off that powerful of a smell. I thought they were just mainly for aesthetics and keeping bugs away. Def will get some citronella candles. I'll try and find some other smelly plants I can put around my babies as well. Any particular plants you would recommend? The bigger and smellier the better.

I grow mine in a similar situation and when they get really smelly it makes me a little nervous, but I grow a lot of fragrant plants, rosemary, garlic, jasmine, plumeria, sage, basil, etc. I think it helps to confuse the issue. Anyway 4 years growing in this spot, so far, so good....

That's awesome cindysid. I went to the garden shop today and bought a bunch of fragrant flowers. moonflowers, oriental lillys, roses, garden phlox, lavender, spearmint, nicotiana, lemon catnip, and a couple olive trees. Already have some thyme, rosemary, and sage in my garden. Also got a few citronella torches. Hopefully it will be enough.

I use raw peeled garlic, i keep it in a separate container near my grow area, it smells like a hippies arm pits...lol, every now and then i buy whole bulbs of garlic in bulk from sam's club and give it to my neighbors....makes them think I'm a nice guy, sharing all that garlic i grew in my backyard. (muahahaha)

I've also used those non toxic fly traps, the one with the pheromones, I place them near my fence next to my neighbors and they won't open their windows for weeks....sad part is you have to endure the smell too
