growing in clay

First of all I REALIZE that growing in clay is not a great idea, so let me explain. I'm dirt poor right now due to the economy and can't afford to buy soil, nutrients, etc. I have a lot of open fields next to me and decided that I'd throw some shwagg seeds in the ground, that way if they don't survive it will be no big deal. The dirt is as much clay as it is soil. The question I have is what can I throw in the clay/soil that may improve it even slightly, using stuff that I would have around the house. I've heard crushed up eggshells, varies food byproducts, even human hair. I've already started sproutlings inside with the same clay, it took forever but they did come up so i know it's possible. Now I want to improve things as best I can.

They'll grow in the clay but its obviously problematic. Besides being too compact your going have problems with water, either too much of it or not enough. If you can get some peat moss and sand that may help but your really better off getting some soil and perlite. Surely you can come up with $30?

Mix the soil with perlite and gypsum or somekind of silica sand, wood chops, dolomite lime whatever u got .Pour with water thats has been for a day in the sun stored in a closed glass vessel.Sun changes the ion structure of water and it becoes enriched with many essential compounds. Its called sun charged water.

find a runn off area drainage ditch and you should be able to find sandy soil , even shaking dirt off the roots of clumps of grass is better then pure clay

thanks, i just happen to have been using water that was set outside in a container, it may have helped with me not even realizing, I can get wood chips but thats about it.
