Growing Indoors

Still split straight down the middle, plenty of cfl, or hps i have a grow tent constructed by growlife 60x60x120 i would like to grow 4 plants in side, what kind of lighting arrangement should be used?? to produce the best results??
Also whats best soil and nutrients to use through out the cycle??

Please any experience or any info would be much appreciated,

Are you going to be vegging as well as flowering in that room? How much do you plan on spending? you could put a 1000w switchable hps in there, veg under MH and switch to hps for flower. Give as many details as you can i'll do my best to help you out, you're going to need at least a 6" high velocity inline fan to cool an hid light. they're like 100$ at htgsupply.com

I would use Root Organics Greenfields soil... and either Foxfarm, General Hydroponics, or Advanced Nutrients. Check out the Lucas formula for a feeding schedule using general hydroponics nutes

yes i plan to use the one tent for the whole cycle im growing californian skunk know anything about that particular strain?? also i dont plan on spending a great deal as this is my first grow, lol how many plants could i grow under a 600w or even better a 400w ?? would you recommend any other materials i would need i have ;
grow tent
temp and humid reader
pots
3 speed free standing fan
and some cfl for lights in amongst the plants ?? do you think that a good idea ?
anything else that i would need ??

5x5 ft grow area right? I would run atleast a 1000 watts for that .. if you keep em smaller and the plants in a 3x3 ft area.. then a 600 will work nice.. you want atleast 50 watts per sq ft imo for good results... for the size of grow you want I wouldnt consider CFL's unless you want to run a little veg area on the side. I think a good starting soil is fox farm ocean forest.. it has the essentials.. you can go into custom soils ect once your in the swing of things.. If thats not available to you .. atleast get one that has NO time released fertilizers ... or you will have headaches.

Ur gonna need a decent inline fan also .. a 6 inch 400+ cfm will work nice!

Nope never grown it personally.. If you could get a 1000 watter that would give you even better results in that size area.. I run a 1000 watter in a 4x4 .. and the results are great.. biggest concern with that many watts is heat.. IMO you will NEED a air cooled hood...plus you will be able to get the light much closer to the plants with a air cooled hood. You could run everything in a sequence with 1 good inline fan.. I would go Carbon filter at top of the tent>>>>> Hood>>>>fan>>>>>exhaust to outside of grow room . Go atleast 6 inch with fan and ducting.. even 8 if possible and your tent can accommodate it I can do a diagram if you dont know what I mean. Also check to make sure that you can accommodate the amps for the light in the room your growing in .. a 400 watter uses about 4.5 amps .. 600.. about 6-7 amps and 1000 watter will use around 9-10 amps. The 600 or 1000 watt can be used for the whole cycle .. either buy a MH bulb for veg.. and a HPS for flower.. Or you can fun the whole cycle with HPS.. I would recommend a nice eye hortilux with blue spectrum if running HPS for the whole grow.. they are exspensive bulbs but well worth the results.. with some good research and alot of time and learning .. you can pull a pound or more with a 1000 watt setup in that size tent. As for where to get it cheap.. not really sure.. Im in california and pretty lucky .. I buy most of my stuff local and the used market is huge out here ..

my grow tent is 5ft x 5ft / 60cm x 60cm x 120cm , so either 600w or 1000w and what kinda exhaust / fan setup should i use?? what makes and prices people much help needed please

Where are you at? I'd order from htgsupply.com - you need an air cooled hood, attach the filter to one side, duct the other side of the hood to the fan, and duct the fan out. it'll suck through the filter-->through the hood--> and out of the end of your fan

Also don't worry about cfls inbetween if you're putting a 600w or 1000w, but the more light the better. but HID light is much superior to CFL light.

Sorry firsttime I havent had a chance to draw one up .. but Arabic described exactly what I was trying to say myself.. You want your filter high in the tent to pull in the warmest air.. then duct that to one side of your hood.. the on the other side of your hood .. you want to duct to your fan .. the other side of your fan .. needs to be ducted to exhaust the hot air out of the grow room.. (window or attic ect) .. inline fans are much better at pulling so this is the ideal setup for one light and one fan imo

bought a 4" carbon air filter, fan and ducting just need a hps air cooled hood and light, just wondering if the actual carbon air filter needs to be inside the tent seen it on a few video clips now that the air filter is situated outside fan inside as well as the hood obvs but just wondering if this would be ok to do so due to my tent being only 60cmx60cmx120cm if i was to incorporate all inside the tent i will loose alot of height inside the tent ,
