Growing outdoors?

hey every1... i just started growing some plants in april ( 2 are clones the 3 others are from seedling.) well i bought my 2 clones in a shop that were on a veg stage i suppose. after i bought the 2 girls i planted them outside in some pots. my problem is that its now been 3 weeks since i bought them and they have already started flowering. is this to do with the sudden light change to 13 hours a day or is the spring time also flowering temps in nature? my 3 other plants dont seem to be flowering at all and seem to be just growing which is much better of course.(they were planted as seeds)!

my other question is... i just dont understand this light issue. when people grow indoors with 12/12 it automatically starts flowering.. but outdoors you get like 12/12 or 13/12 and there is no difference. so how can a plant grow without flowering till harvest month in september/october and flower right away indoors with the same amount of light.. i cant understand why my clones are flowering already. cud they go back to veg.stage when may and june arrive? i just dont understand the light thing cuz thers only like a 1 hour difference between summer months and fall. my main question has to do with the clones.. is spring just the wrong time to plant them outside? shud i plant more in june? thnx...any help and advice wud be great!

i think its because the plant gets into an 18/6 rhythem in the store and then you plant it out side closer to 12/12 it thinks you want it to flower. if you had started outdoor the plant would have vegged in 11/13 and flowered in an even shorter light cycle. depends on how you start it. it think thats how it works. not 100% though.

P.S.-Nice screen name.

but if what you say is true then how come the other plants are not flowering.. its the same amount of light that they get. how can they be in veg.stage if the light is in reality a flowering stage. 13 day 11 night?

in the end it depends on the strain. different strains have drastically different flowering times.

actually my real question is.. if it is so that it can veg in the light cycle now and flower when the light gets lower then how can u make the plant flower indoors with the same light that i have now outside.. i understand thats cuz that 12/12 is a flowering cycle but then how can they veg outside with the same amount of light and flower inside with the same amount.. its really wierd to me?????

look: in summer the plants will recieve about 14 hrs light and 10 hrs darkness, in winter they will reciever about 10 hrs light and 14 hrs darkness. now ure clones... the same as mine may have been taken from a flowering female and so are programmed to flower which takes a while. however i have asked some other guys and they told me that their clones stoped flowering after a months or so and then continued growing again! the other possibility is that the plants where simply used alot of light perhaps 18 hrs indoors and thus may be flowering due to a shock in the difference of light a day!

the hrs of light starts to pass a limit in agust at which it trigers a hormone or auxin to be produced which causes flowering. just as in animals hormones dont trigger a property over night or did ure pubichair grow when u where 5? i dont know the exact number of hours which triggers this auxin to be produced but i know that it is the hrs of darkness not light that triggers it and that it is around about 12 hrs

puhh
