It doesn't have to do with gender, rather the health/viability of the seed. Seeds that were grown and left to fully mature on the mother plant tend to be darker in color and have the brown stripes/spots you are talking about.
Seeds that are very pale in color with no markings were likely harvested before they were ready and therefore a higher probability they won't sprout.

Guys just stop giving it advice, She says that she grows weed and kills it!

If you are going to kill it atleast don't kill a plant that is more stretched than fuck.

The plants look pretty good for how your growing them. I also think your right, it is easy to grow....very easy. What is not easy is getting a good potent bud with a high yield....As far as putting the seed in soil and letting it sprout and grow without a lot of help, your right, it is easy....The yield and potency....I don't think that is that easy...

very nice, growing pot is easy though, but growing a monster reqiures a lil more ffort, thats the only difference between you , the casual grower and everyopne else like me, who only want quality and yield,. so i guess when you say its easy, and i think of all the people on this forum who spent much money and roasted their plants and worked so hard to get something they love, i cant blame them when they throw pissy comments at you, bcuas to get anything out of these plants we work real hard, no doubt about it, enjoy and good luck on your grow, looks good!

bwahah, kind of pointless now to wish me luck, I chopped the thing in half. Casual grower, I like that term very much. I don't blame them either, I assume it was mostly kids giving me a hard time, you could definitely tell the older or more experienced growers from kids, they had helpful stuff to say rather than disparaging. But thanks, I hope it turns out to be a female in the future, I mean.. seriously, unless I was reaaallyy sure the plant was female I would care more about the lighting and the plants welfare. But because I love growing stuff (anything!) I would adore seeing this baby rise to it's full potential. But thanks for your comment.

well you should check out those european websites for feminesed seeds, im sure you can obtain them, if you put a lil more effort and get the basics down you will be rewarded with a very beautiful plant and flower, just if you planted roses or tulips , the fruits of your labor will show nicely

hey it grew growing is easy, but getting quality takes effort and some TLC i'm glad u can grow and that these little grows will be worth alot in the future, lamps like that would be very good for plants on dixie cups not muck else though

HOLY COW! *smooch!* I'm so happy right now! I just read a grow journal with some super awesome pics and it turns out my plant actually IS female. Time for some serious work! omg omg omg! I'm so excited.
see, read a thing somewhere that all seeds have a 40-50% chance of being female, which is why I wasn't terribly enthused by growing weed in the first place.

omg i love star wars books i have episodes I-VI on my shelf right now i just got done reading the first trilogy (IV,V,VI)for the second time last month. timothy zahn writes really goo SW books you should check them out. the Thrawn trilogy
