Growing Serious Ak-47, Reserva Privada's OG#18, and Barney's Blue Cheese

I just looked at my girls today, and I believe that there is a sign of progress with the Ak-47. It may just be in my head though, since that is what I am hoping for. I just think it looked healthier. I'm going to feed it some more Cal/Mag and some Power Flower which has an NPK of 2-2-5. I'm going to put 1 tsp of Cal/Mag and 1 tsp of Power Flower to a gallon of water. It might be over a gallon because I just fill up my watering canister. I think I'm just going to feed the OG#18 water since she is looking perfect the way that she is. I don't want to cause more problems by starting something new on her. Plus, I've read that the OG#18 is a light feeder and so far I would say that is true. It has been going on the nutes in the soil pretty much this whole time. I will post some pics tomorrow. Later!

Good to hear about the cal mag, but I heard it takes a few days for stuff to work, so you may want to wait a few days to really see what happens.

Here are the pics I promised. I did just write a whole fucking page of shit, but when I submitted it my computer fucked up. GREAT!

Yeah I was a little to overzealous with my critique of my plant after the feeding of Cal/Mag. I wanted the problem to be solved so damn bad that I thought I saw some improvement, but there definitely isn't the amount of change that I want. I do believe that there hasn't been any worsening of the plant though either. I haven't had a problem like this before, and I would like to remedy it before harvest gets here. I would like to think that I know what I am doing here, but if I don't get this problem taken care of it is going to be a blow to my ego. Lol! The damn plant was flawless until the 12/12 switch and flowering began. As soon as that happened, the plant starting showing signs of this deficiency. It wouldn't be so bad but it has affected all the sugar leaves around the buds and worked it's way down the plant to where the only completely healthy leaves are near the bottom of the plant. The sugar leaves and the buds surrounding fan leaves are still covered in trichs, but I guess I will have to do some real proper manicuring of this particular plant to get rid of all the diseased leaves. Even with this issue this plant is still beautiful. I can only imagine how good it would have looked without this deficiency. Oh well, it is what it is! Plus the buds themselves do not look to be effected by the deficiency on the surface anyway.

Somehow I broke a branch on my OG#18 the other day and tried to tape it up. It had started to die off, and I didn't have any smoke yesterday so I decided to chop it off. I also took off a branch of the Ak-47 for just a taste test. Having a broken branch was a good excuse to give it a try. I wasn't expecting much with a quick dry in the microwave. The Ak-47 tasted just like I expected. It tasted like shit, but I did get a little buzz off of it. I tried the OG#18 next, and I was fucking ripped off of one hit. It tasted pretty damn good surprisingly. I fucking couged my head off of just one rip off of my glass bowl. I couldn't believe that it was as good as it is already, but I have some fire right here. I know for a fact now that I do. It is going to be hard to keep from picking this plant clean over the next 4 weeks. Lol! Everyday I look at my plants now, I can see a difference in the size of the bds. They are really starting to swell up and become quite hard to the touch. Oh yeah I found a seed in the lil bit that I smoked of the Ak-47. I know that my Blue Cheese was a hermie, but I pulled that bitch while there were barely any pistils at all. I can't see it cross polllinating my plant. I guess it was done soley by the Ak-47 itself, but I can't really be sure. I know that I will keep my eye out after harvest, because I wouldn't mind having some more seeds of this strain. I don't think I will buy anymore at $20 for a single fem seed. I only bought the 1 that I have growing now so it would be nice to find a couple more down the road for free. And the Ak-47 is starting to look better from the Cal/Mag now. At least there are no more signs of it getting any worse either. Lol! I'm super excited now, and I am glad that I gave it an early taste test. Hopefully the Ak-47 will mature into something better too. This could be a good indicator to me that the OG#18 will be able to be harvested before the Ak-47 now too. Anyways I just wanted to put that out there for people to here.

hey kentuckyboy i recently smoked some holy grail og18-x-kosher kush & right then & there got 4 babies of the stuff & at this point im gonna order og 18 & kosher kush too ill be starting a thread on the holy grail soon here is pics of my babies ill be growing them in coco & 3gal smart pots under a 600w. hps

Glad u like the og 18.. I'm planning on growing some of that next.. I'm also considering a couple of DNA/Rp og18 crosses.. I guess I have to wait and see but that chocolope kush,skywalker and holy grail are grabbing my attention.. The lemon og as well

Yeah I liked it. And like I said it was a quick dry in the microwave, so I was surprised to say the least. The microwave just destroys weed imo. It will allow you to get high though probably. lol! I'm going to pop a DNA Chocolope after these 2 that I have finish. I will be popping a Reserva Privada Headband too. I think they all sound and look good. I can't see anyone not liking this #18. It is a hard hitter for sure. It will choke you up something fierce! That's the way that I like them.

So I have some kind of issue going on with my OG#18 now. The leaves are dying off on me real quick like. I'm not quite sure why either. It's pretty common for leaves to die off when you are this far into flowering but this doesn't seem normal. I thought that it was getting to much nutes, so I dialed back on them. That hasn't seemed to work, so I guess I will hit it with some nutes today. I'm not to worried about it. This plant doesn't have much longer to go. I can keep it alive until then. It may not be very pretty at the end, but I know the shit will smoke. Lol!

My Ak-47 is falling over from the weight of the colas on the ends of the branches. There are nice ones everywhere. I had to put some support sticks in the pot with the Ak-47, or else the branches are going to tip the plant over or the branches are going to break from the weight of those big ass colas. It's such a beautiful sight to behold. I hope I find a couple more seeds in this weed, so I can grow it again in the future. My 3 White Diamonds got burnt a lttle bit from where I sprayed them with neem oil because of fungus gnats. I need to get some sand. They are alright now, and looking much better. Hopefully I can get impressed with these White Diamonds. Maybe these beans that I can consider pretty cheap might just be a winner. I guess I will see if I get a female.

Thanks for the advice, but I just don't have the room or the plant count to take clones. I have plenty of seeds to different strains that I have bought but yet to use. I was just saying that I hope I find a couple seeds in the weed after harvest. I found 1 in a bud that I quick dried in the microwave of the Ak-47. I didn't see any nanners on it, so I really have no idea how it got pollinated to even make seeds.

Time is slowly ticking by, and I am getting pretty impatient waiting around for these plants to finish. I'm probably going to harvest the #18 on day 56 of 12/12 and the Ak-47 a week later. Unless they still don't look ready enough, but I think that they will be. The buds on the Ak-47 are just so damn heavy that the branches have to have support. It is pratically causing the plant to tip over. Lol! Both of these plants are completely trichs up. I just love how these ladies look now. They sure have come a long way. I'm ready for them to be finished though. I am ready to see what these 3 White Diamonds are about. They are still in solo cups, but they need to be transplanted asap, but I won't have room to veg them once they are in bigger pots. I topped them, and they took it like a fucking champ. They got burned up a bit from a neem oil application, but they have bounced back and looking better than ever. They are some really nice looking plants already.

I have been checking the trichs on my Ak-47 and OG#18, and they are mainly cloudy with some clear and just a few amber here and there. That's why I think they will be ready in the next week or two. They both have wonderful smell, but I am in love with the OG#18. The Ak-47 has a fruity smell to it, and I am curious how it is going to taste after a good cure. I'm sure it will be some potent shit. Moving to NorCal in 2 weeks and starting some RP OG 18's, Emerald Triangle Bubba 76's (Pre 98 Bubba x '76 Pakistani), and some White Label White Skunk (White Widow x Skunk11). Really pumped to see some nugshots of these badboys (especially the 18!). What did you use for soil? Organic recipe, Miraclegro, or something else?

I just used some Miracle Grow soil that has the nutes already in the soil. I don't have to use any nutes until flower with the MG soil. In my past grows I just used some generic nutes with an NPK ratio of 15-30-15 for flower, but I had some issues this grow with my Ak-47. I ended up buying a trio pack of Botanicare nutes for $20 which included Power Plant, Power Flower, and Cal/Mag. I only needed the Cal/Mag, but I thought that it couldn't hurt to have the other 2 types of nutes. I will try them out during the whole next grow. I have had excellent results with MG soil, but I imagine that using the more expensive brands could work better. They just cost more, and I don't really have the extra cash to spare when I am getting good results with the cheap shit. I can't say that I have tried any of Emerald Triangle's genetics, but I did try some regular White Label White Widow seeds that I bought last year, and I had a shitty pheno I guess. I got about 3 ozs dried off of it, but I thought the smoke was mediocre at best. It definitely wasn't the White Widow I was looking for. They were the first seeds that I had ever bought, so I didn't have the knowledge that I do now. Who knows, you might have better luck with your White Skunk compared to my White Widow.

I have tried emerald triangle, one mastondon kush (Master kush x pre 98 bubba) and bubba 76 , my mastondon was a dude grew one half of a set of leaves and nothing, died and a nice bubba 76 that grew male flowers 2 weeks in so i was done with them.I still have a super sour og from them that i will try because i have talked to a representative of them and got some info on my super sour og so i will try emerald triangle in the future, but they are nute sensitive.

I have a shit load of different strains by all different breeders, but I don't have any from Emerald Triangle. I like to use feminized seeds, since I have to keep my plant count at 4 or less at all times. With only being able to have so few plants at any given time, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for me to grow with regular beans cause they can all turn out to be male. Then I just wasted 2 months for nothing. That has actually happened to me, so I had to cull 4 plants because of them being males. I had to cull a feminized Blue Cheese earlier in this grow because it hermied on me, so I guess you are kind of fucked either way you go. Lol! I've had pretty good luck with the fems that I have popped so far, and I have a shit load more to try still. I haven't really heard much about Emerald Triangle genetics, so I doubt that I will buy any anytime soon. I know Attitude gives them out as freebies sometimes, so that's probably the only way that I would aquire them.

I know that I am ready to get this grow finished up. I'm ready to move on to something else. I will be putting a some White Diamonds into flower as soon as these 2 are finished. They need to be transplanted asap, but once I do that I won't have room in my rubbermaid tote veg box. They had already been topped once, and I topped them all again yesterday. That will be the last time I top them. They are all about 8" tall right now. They are some really nice looking plants. No variation in phenos that I can see as of right now. These White Diamonds are an Alphakronik strain by the way. I haven't seen anyone that has grown this particular strain before. I have heard some good things about Alphakroniks gear though. White Diamond is a The White x Spacequeen cross. I'm not for sure which was male and female in the cross, but I believe that they used a Spacequeen dude.
