Growing sideways????????

ok so i have this thought it could be stupid but i figured i would try. If i sprouted a plant to about six inches and then laid it on its side, would it continue to grow. If this was the case you could grow without very much height in your grow area???

just looking for some ideas or input

peace out

Watering it might prove difficult. lol

If you have limited height and want to grow a big plant use LST. There are several threads on it, just do a search.

Short version, you're using string to train it to grow near the ground around & around the center to increase yeild with low space for height.

Hope that helps

Its been done and it works well. The benefits are that instead of only growing one big cola with several smaller colas sticking out of thsides you get multiple large colas reaching for the light. If you are worried about your plant limit, (medical patient) this is a way to maximize yield with less plants.

How would you water it and keep the dirt in the pot?

I've never heard of this, but if it works I'd be interested in finding out about it.

The only way I've seen so far to get more colas is to create more main stems and redirect the plants hormones through physical manipulation.

I would definitely research a bit on LST (low stress training)

It's basically the same concept, but works better when you actually need to water your plant.

;)

Good luck
