Growing Some Happiness

This is my 3rd grow. 1st grow was a bust, 2nd grow was disappointing, only because I thought I could push through flowering with CFLs.

My goal for my 3rd grow is to get some bud that will blast my mind. playing a caster type in Starwars The Old Republic. trying to recreate that amazing cerebral high I got and enjoyed while playing my warlock in WoW.

trainwrecks came out late, 1 of em came out late because half of the tail broke off when I inserted the seedling into the rapid rooter plug

week 3

what organic or non-organic nutes can I use with this soil? I'm on a tight budget since I got the HID lighting kit from ebay. I don't mind making my own fertz if anyone can recommend a recipe.

Also, what kind of rooting gel should I get for my future clones? I see clonex rooting compound for $13 and rootech rooting gel for $5 on amazon. does the saying "you get what you paid for" matter in this case?

I have some left over nutes from my 2nd grow which was a hydro grow. will this 3 parter nutes work with soil?

I'm considering doing a scrog, maybe a sog, anyone have input on this? thanks

just added 5ml to a gallon of water of advance nutrients gro-micro-bloom. watered all 5 plants as evenly as I could. all plants starting to look really bushy. with the AC running in my bath/grow-room im at 69-75F, was able to lower the light a few more inches as I was getting temps in the mid to higher 60s when I turned on the oscilation setting on my fan.

all plants 5 - 7 inches, trainwrecks look like they're doing much better but still seem stunted or behind the other ladies. will keep a close eye on them. hopefully ill get faster growing resulting with the nutes added. will be ordering rooting gel tomorrow, most likely ill be doing a sog and probably do scrog with a few clones.

plan to take cuttings in a week or so when the plants are tall enough, all depends on their growth rate. will update in a few days.

week 4 update.

plants are getting really nice, i wish they would grow taller faster. need to make some clones before flowering. the the ladies are almost at the 1 foot mark. anyway here are some photos for week 4.



might have waited too long to water, last 2 or so days, plants looked like they were dying. watered them last night, and they look more amazing. now I know when to water

week 5 (week 1 flowering) update

a little late because of the holiday weekend. i think i can tell when to water just by looking at the plants haha, always check 2in under the soil. anyway here are the pictures, you'll notice I switched to my 400 watt hps bulb (switched it last wed)
