Growing tree's in a tree

Ok what am I looking for in the sample when I smoke it?? I don't really understand that way of testing it. Also the trichs are about 15-20% amber which I've read is the peak time to pick it.
you're looking to see if you like what you have
so if the smoke feels good, it's done
the buds look a little white, but it's tough to tell everything from a picture
i suspect it's as done as it's going to be

Well I've sampled some calyx's out of the vape with a nice body high just like the bud I got it from. But yea you cant really see the trichs in those pictures, so it'd would be hard to judge for your point of view, but thanks for helping!! I think I will pick tommorow just before the sun rises.

Well it starting raining tonight and the forecast is rainy for Thursday and Friday, but is supposed to clear up this weekend, should I chop her before all that rain or after??

Decided to chop regardless of the rain (before it gets too bad), and just place inside of a homemade cardboard drying box. Will post pictures of chopped buds and the drying process when I get chance.

Here's some pictures of her and her drying box. Sorry for the shitty pictures, but the lighting wasn't very good and the camera sucks in those conditions, but when they're dry I'll try an get some close ups and what not. Some of the newer grown buds look a little immature (bud growth wise), but most are as grown as they would have gotten (I think), though they're all nice and frosty (with unbelievable skunky kush smell) and atleast I got back alot more than the 15 bucks I put into BOTH plants. Will be making dry ice kief with the trim (from this and the hermie), so I'll probably be posting pictures of that too later (if my camera doesn't die again.)

it's no pound, but nice looking set of buds, especially when you consider the effects the tropics had on the flowering
and if the quality is good, it's a good grow

Thanks!! Yea that plus the revegging I think took its toll, but hopefully these next three (given there females) will grow more solid nugs, with the proper lighting conditions. But I was quite surprised at the quality that the soil produced, although I can only imagine her potential in some organic soil (might have to try it next year with some of her seeds).

Most definitely!! This has opened up a whole new perspective of bud for me, I never really grasped my mind around the fact that it is just a plant until this, and don't understand why anyone would ban such a beneficial and harmless plant.

Are you using a pulley or do you climb the tree every time?
Climb it, just better off in my case since there are actually houses near the tree and I think I would be more likely seen on the ground lowering a pot than to be somewhat covered up in the tree. But the pulley system is a great idea if you do it in the woods or somewhere with no one around.

**Weekly update**
(3 weeks 4days for WW & "fruity pebbles)
(1 week for what I am going to refer to as simply "cerebral")
Well this week has been a rather good one with the harvesting of the female :weed:, which is drying very nicely despite the rain (no mold whatsoever), which I will get pictures of once shes dry (wanting to avoid as much light exposure as possible). I got 15 nice, solid, striped perfect seeds, and about 5-10 alright/shitty seeds, so next year I will definitely be growing some more of her genetics because I am loving her bud so far. All the newbies are growing great, but I think the "cerebral" is the best seedling I've grown so far (very sturdy, and thick leaves), which hopefully aren't signs of a male, although I wouldn't mind breeding her with one of the others for a few interesting baby's because I really like the bud it came from (very frosty, pictures below).
(white widow left, "fruity pebbles" right, second picture is "cerebral")

LMAO its funny you said that, cause just yesterday my friend was telling me I should make a "frachise", doing exactly what you said. But I told him I'm only in it for personal stash.

I went and checked on the drying process today, and most of the stems snapped so I brought her back to cure, and decided to get some close ups of her now.

Haha damn right you can never go wrong with some free dank, and you get to witness and amazing process at the same time. Its nice to not have to spend money on something that is so easy to grow. Atleast 2 weeks or maybe longer, will decide then.
