Growing Weed with Christmas Lights

anyway while i repack this bowl and type with my mechanical hand at the same time i will advise cfl's or fluro if ur being frugal. seriously though always have your mindset on getting powered lighting lumens lumens lumens this is why i grind.
 
also yes i reefuse to grow up i will always appreciate - sunrise, sunset, bud, oh and pretty ladys... there is not enough of any of them!

YES YES YES about the lights to CFL will be cheaper and easy way to go pick them up from home depot its not costly either SO VERY BENEFICIAL.............................

So dude, did you try with the christmas tree lights, did it work?

I'm working on a budget here, and sort of a covert operation cos I'm still at home with my parents. I'm only looking to grow enough for some personal use, not a shed's worth for dealing or anything. I've got the option of either jacking my Dad's fluroscent light from the shed, or getting a wind-up generator/rechargeable light, so the light consumption won't show up on the electricity bill.

If I got something like this http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?isSearch=true&fh_search=rechargeable+light LED, and it's putting out white light, would that work for a few plants do you reckon?
 
Sorry, but you sounded like a 17 yr old there for a bit. Not to sound rude, or anything. And the person who started this thread may or may not answer your question about the lights working or not.
As someone who has frequented this forum for a while there are threads on here about people growing in places they do not own, and there are a whole different set of circumstances they had to deal with rather than growing in a place they owned. Plus if you are in a pot hating state than I would suggest getting your own place, and going from there.
 
@Blotto Well cheers man but I've already sorted out the where. I was mainly wondering about the LED light I posted. Is a white spectrum suitable for the growing?

sorry to say your going to end up with worse than a charlie brown tree. get a high pressure sodium. nothing beats it. incandescents are also junk. you can veg with CFLs or even t12s but you will need a hps in flower if you want a good yield. anything else is a waste of time imo. lot of ppl think they can get away with t5s but they dont have the light penetration and will result in fluffy buds.
