Growing with Apple juice?

A friend of mine told me about a guy he knows that grows in dirt feeding his plants nothing but apple juice from start to finish. Says it works great. Anyone hear of this before?

Fuck that. I believe the sugar in the apple juice will kill them. I don't think your friend grows, if he does hes pulling your leg.

A slight bit of research led me to see that sugar is some times used and won't kill them. Pure apple juice is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. In most of these cases people have only used 2 tblspoons of sugar toward the end of bloom. You need to give them clean water not sticky apple juice...

I've used apple juice and orange juice concentrate instead of molasses as a finisher but it won't replace the typical nutrients.

i could see getting away with diluted....maybe
