Growth from at or just below cotyledons.

I don't see this mentioned much, but how come I get growth from this spot on ALL my plants? Has happened on the last 7 at least. Just wondering if everyone gets this on all their plants because it's not really mentioned.

yes when i top them i get these kinds of things, just pinch them off
